We Still Need...

Why?

Veteran corner only takes reps away from Mickens, Ball and the two other young playmakers at corner. Let the kids fight it out, its a better plan than freaking asante samuel or some other overrated veteran. Maybe we should approach Ty Law or Paul Krause! Come on boys and girls!

As for a WR, Unless his name is Boldin, there isnt a WR that makes a difference more than Miles Austin.

Just added about twenty new faces lets let the dust settle before we are so sure of what we dont have!

I'm actually ok with the CB position now. Mickens will be the 4th cb and might be the best except for Newman. Smith is a good cb also, even if they do move him to safety.

Who would you want as head coach next year hos?
1. Jason Garrett
2. Mike Shanahan
3. Bill Cowher
4. Mike Holmgren
5. Jon Gruden

Actually, we don't need any of that. Looks to me like JJ is using the last year of Wade Phillips as head coach to find out what the young guys can do. They have decided to go with the young guys and alot of rookies. It will be interesting to say the least.

Hos why are you throwing Wade under a bus again? He is not the problem with this team, the team lacks explosiveness which is the X factor that many of these new 20 or so add.

It sure sounded like Gruden wanted the job at the nfl draft. ;)

I don't think this team lacks explosiveness, I can't wait to see Felix back out on the field.

He has my support, but Wade has never been my choice as Head Coach. He was the best choice when hired. I don't deny that. But the available candidates now are far superior, and Garrett has always been my choice.

Fair enough hos

Headhunter I respect Felix's explosiveness I am more talking about more explosive plays fromthe defense and special teams that create turnovers and create dread when teams see Dallas on their schedule.

I agree with your list, except for Garrett. I still don't think he's done anything to earn his Boy Wonder status in his entire coaching career but chances are he will be the next head coach regardless.

Yeah I agree with that.

LOL!

The sad thing about your comment is that it is TRUE. I really believe that we have the talent [along with the 3 outstanding needs I've outlined in this thread] to be a monster of a team, but a lack of strong head coaching is killing us.

I lay the blame for the debacle in Philly last December squarely on the shoulders of the head coach. He did not have his team mentally prepared to play.

Oddly, I'd love to retain Wade as our DC in 2010 when Shanahan rolls into town as our next HC!

Wade Phillips as HC IS a major problem on this team. He has yet to show that he can instill a mental toughness on this team in every phase - offense, defense, and special teams.
