I believe Jerry will makes wholesale changes in the coaching staff and with that comes different systems and skill sets.
Glad he's not wasting money this season , it a season to evaluate young players and develop them.

When you are bad at contract negotiations and are bad at managing and understanding the salary cap you will constantly have no money left. Then you wont be able to play with the big boys. You will be forced to find your players elswhere.

But hey the cap is a myth, makes me chuckle everytime i here about it.

I dont want to question your post. To me its the same feeling. This season will be more of a pause.

But i dont think next year will be different then all the others. JJ and SJ will be again waste money. Just because they dont hand out contracts this year doesnt mean they got better at resource management.

Then evaluating players and developing is an ongoing thing and should be a priority every year. Its not like: Uh this year we pause from all other things so now we can focus on that topic.

You should have a fundamental plan on how to run your team. This FO doesnt have one. And it hadnt have one since Jimmy left.
Bill Parcells and Jason Garrett tried to establish a different approach. But they stumbled mightily just because your FO has to understand it. And then accept it. But that is not going to happen.

I'm still going to stick with the idea that somebody got into Jerry's head last year and said, you've got to make changes, and I believe he's attempting to do that.
