maybe we are trailblazers that other teams will end up copying

I wonder how the talent in the UFL compares to talent in the CFL
who knows, but Jerry is about to have a whole team of these guys, free agency won't even exist in this teams vocabulary

I'm still going to stick with the idea that somebody got into Jerry's head last year and said, you've got to make changes, and I believe he's attempting to do that.
Well its ok to believe people are good or at least try to be good and do the right things. And i do also believe in the latter.

But i dont want to close my eyes from reality just to keep the feeling.

In JJs case i closed my eyes a lot of times. He proved me wrong and wrong again. Maybe someone got into his head last year, but then, how do you explain his comments like "all in" this year. Then trying to dance around it. Now all this twitter crap with the start of TC.

No. I dont believe he will change anything. He is what he is: a businessman who tries to sell his product.

When in lets say in 5 years we are successfull i will go back, have a look and work thur the stuff to see if it was because he changed. If so i will change my mind about him. Until then i believe in what he has shown me until today.

Nothing wrong with looking at these practice leagues and giving guys a shot if they have a trait or 2 you are looking for. It just sucks how this organization chooses to manage the cap and not use free agency to really put this team over the hump.

Due diligence means looking everywhere for talent. But ignoring one of the most important areas is rank incompetence.

Yeah, nobody knows for sure, but I've liked some of the financial moves he didn't make this off-season starting with Tyron.

Yes. But it was a move that was more than necessary.

Tyron should have been traded 3 or 4 years ago. We would have gotten a very high pick for him. Maybe even a frist rounder between 10 and 15.

Since then we have gotten not a lot from him. We drafted his sucessor with a prime pick last year. But in essence threw away the ressource by declaring him as a LG. The second least important position on the OL. You find good LGs in the late second round. Well, of course, only when you are good at drafting players.

But we are used to pad us on the shoulder of how a good drafting team we are. Then we throw away valuable picks. No wonder we have non for other real important positions.

This year again. We drafted a LT last year. Didnt pan out. Now this year had to do it again. This is not how you build thru the draft and be a successful franchise. But we manouver us into a bind every year by handing out ridiculous contracts to medicore players. No money left, no way to keep a stop gap solution. Bad combination if your salary cap Guru is a complete failure and you are bad at drafting players and therefore always have to spend way too high picks.

Bad bad ressource management by our top notch FO .
