That game made the Raiders my #2 NFL team for over a decade. I loved watching the Deadskins getting smashed like that in the Super Bowl. I get chills every time I see that Marcus Allen run. Or the Theismann interception pick six.

Mos def...had my seasons mixed up but the Raider beat down of the Skins was one of my fave SB moments (apart from our wins of course)...Joey T. was such an arrogant ****!?!

Yeah...Gary looked pretty good early on in relief until some tipped balls undid him...and it paved the way for him ultimately to start the '84 season.

Same here...ironically the last time we played them on TG one of the teams had both a high-flying, hot rookie QB and a league-leading RB that helped dominate the game to victory...I am expecting a similar outcome this go-'round

Reminds me of the 1982 season, can't remember who they beat to get to the NFCC but fans we chanting and stomping "We want Dallas"...they got us and boy did they whip us. Hopefully it's different this time. Stakes aren't as high, but the atmosphere should be pretty intense.

You can throw the stats/standings right out the window when it comes to these two teams on Turkey day game.

George Allen had a hell'va lot to do with the intensity of this rivalry.
