We Were Tired

I really don't think we were that tired. There were fumbles -- 2 of them lost -- and some extremely untimely penalties that kept us from getting the running game going as well as we usually do. That left our "bend but don't break" defense on the field too much and we lost the TOP battle. But, all in all, the defense played well and held them to 15 points, and the offense put enough points on the board to pull out a close win.

I love winning games like this. We certainly didn't play our best, but we won, and this very well could be the win that ends up getting us home field advantage through the playoffs.

The good thing about the win is not only we get 10 days rest to play the Gints but the Gints play Pittsburgh who also got a 10 days rest.

Three games in 11 days and they go 3-0, I don't care who they were playing that was a outstanding job. Vikings have a outstanding defense, playing at home for their playoff lives, they would give any team trouble. Most teams would have walked out of there with a loss. Dallas is 11-1 for a reason, they are tough and know how to win.

Who is they? Minnesota? Yes, I said they were probably tired too. The point is that our fatigue was obvious. It was a flat performance from both teams all the way around. Not very good football.
I agree, I know dallas players looked tired from the start.

I hope Garrett gives them time off until Monday or Tuesday.

I think a lot of the problem last night was Zimmer's exotic Blitz packages

We got 10 days to work on Blitz pickups because we'll be seeing on the rest of the year

They need to add play action into the game plan, as well as stop abandoning the run early on.

Does this win clinch us a playoff spot ?

Not mathematically.

But there would have to be a monumental collapse on our end and an insane Ascension on the part of others.

If WSH or TB loses another game, we clinch.

Let's not give one scintilla of credit to the Vikings defense, okay? Must have been because this team was tired. As if most years they don't play 3 games in 11 days around Thanksgiving.

Excuses Excuses. They played Thanksgiving too.

And Minnesota played the 20th vs Cardinals at home and won.
Thanksgiving vs Detroit away and lost.
Then Vs Dallas at home and lost.

So we both had same amount of games in the same amount of days.

But Minnesota's offense was rotten.

Play action was not working last night, because their front four are stopping the run and rushing the passer, so they are not biting on play action.

Our team is tired and it happens to all the good teams that drop a game here and there. Its a long season and we have 2 rookies leading our team.
The day break now and if we could rest the starters on week 17 and 1st round bye should help rest our players and restart fresh
