This team will be back next year and if they make some upgrades at DC, ILB and the interior line then we WILL be a Super Bowl contender in the NFC.

Positives going into 2007....
Tony Romo has shown the most promise of any qb since Aikman

A solid runningback combo of Barber/JJ

TO Glenn and Witten triumvirate one of league's best

Colombo played well this year

Grammatica may have solved our kicking woes as well

Fergy, Hatcher/Ratliff Ware Carpenter Newman, Watkins

maybe a new DC can get more out of Canty Spears coverage schemes, etc..

All is not doom and gloom in Dallas, fellas This loss hurts really really bad. But we do have a young up and coming team. There will be bumps wherever this team takes us but you know what?

I'm along for the ride, are you?

Oh, that's all? FWIW, we need a lot more help than that.

My guess is you can go back on this board since it started and find a post like this after every season-ending loss. "We'll bounce back." How about we see what happens with the coach, the draft and free agency before we anoint a 9-8 team a Super Bowl contender a year down the road? Here's an idea: Why don't we worry about winning one playoff game first? That would be a nice start.

Yada yada yada...

Same end of the season post.....different year.

Exactley. Every year the Cowboys are Super Bowl contenders yet they can't even get into double-digits in the win column. This team has, and has had, problems starting all the way at the top. Until some kind of structure is in place, they won't win anything. "Is Bill coming back? Is Bill coming back?" Who cares? This team is young and needs a long term system in place, not a one-year heave at the Super Bowl. Until the Cowboys put in place a system to compete every year like the Patriots and Eagles have in place, this franchise will continue to struggle. If Parcells comes back for a year and doesn't win it, then what? You have a new a coach with possibly a new system that has to go out and get his kind of players. It starts with stability and the Cowboys don't have any. "Is Bill coming back? Is T.O. coming back?" Who gives a ****? They went 9-8 with those two superstars. How about actually making the most powerful team in all of sports a legitimate contender again? That's the only thing I care about. I could care less about some aging receiver or a 65-year old coach who won a Super Bowl back in the early 90s.

Exactly, great post man!!!!

The Cowboys are like the NY Yankees. They try to win it all the wrong way. If the Yanks followed the formula they used to build a winner in the early-mid nineties, they could get there again.

Same for us, we're using BP, who uses the same formula he used in the 1980's!! Doesn't he think other teams and their scouts might adjust? I saw every TD Seattle had last night, just by following the LB's and Roy Williams.

We need a long term solution, and every day we stick with Parcells is a day wasted toward winning more than 1 game over .500. Hard to be a Cowboys fan after growing up watching Landry make the play-offs for 20 straight years. That certainly feels like 10 generations ago.
