We win in GB if this happens

We could do that early if it works. Against Cincy the first drive was all runs with one pass. It led to a TD, but eventually we need to throw it. How about a couple of deep passes to Butler and Dez if healthy.

Well, if GB is lined up to stop the run, I hiope we don't continue to run it and not even look to pass.

I don't think we will.

We've been better about it since the Giants game. We still cram it at those fronts but we are doing more things to take advantage of those fronts lately.

GB has been very good vs the run. You beat them with the passing game.

Gonna be tough with Aaron Rodgers eating up our defense.

Thats left to be seen. That stat against the run is very skewed because GB has not played an Oline and run game like ours. Ny had some pretty good runs against them the other night. I know we can run against them and do it well.

The biggest factor in a successful run game is converting 3rd downs
If you continue to convert 3rd downs then you can continue to run the ball

GB is beat up in the secondary. After our destruction of the Cincy front 7-- the Packers and everyone in the world will figure on us running the ball. I would do the opposite. Dez will be wanting to play in this game. Throw it up to him. Redemption.

Let Dak off the leash and attack the weakened secondary down the field. Get the LBs in space and throw short to Zeke and Beasley. I'm not saying don't run the ball at all-- of course we need to keep them honest-- but attack where they are weakest, wear them down, and grind it out late.

I think if Dallas shows up to play like they have they win. Packers have been in all tight games except the Lions, but even then, the Lions end up making it a 1 score outcome. Packers have yet to play a team with a running game hence their # 1 rush defense ranking.. Jags with Yeldon, Vikes no AP, Lions and Giants starters out and running back by committee.. The only way the Pack wins is if our D cant get to Rodgers at all and he has 5-10 seconds to throw the ball like he did against the Giants. Harass him like the Vikes did and its going to be a long day for the Pack at home..

Surprised nobody has mentioned stopping Eddie Lacy as a key.

He has owned the Cowboys in his career:

2013: 21 carries, 141 yards, 1 TD
2014: 19 carries, 101 yards (Playoffs)
2015: 24 carries, 124 yards, 1 TD

If Lacy goes off for anything like he has averaged against Dallas so far, its going to make stopping Aaron Rodgers all that more difficult.

Assuming Lacy plays on Sunday, the Cowboys must slow him down.

Stay with their same game plans as they have been. On both sides of the ball. I know fans want us to blitz more, but with a QB like Rodgers, we can't. Not at this point with our D.
Just rush the 4, and get some pressure. But ball control is the key as usual. The Bengals I believe had more TOP than we had but we were efficient at moving the ball downfield quickly to score. Especially on our 1st play of the 2nd half with Zeke's 60 yard TD run.
And if we keep scoring like that, fine. But we still need to keep the ball out of Rodgers hands.

TOP can be a deception--we were glad to let them run out the clock

He is banged up right now. So we are catching them at a good time.

I would hope we stop the Packers first drive.
No points.
They always seem to get ahead.

Let them play from behind.

Give EACH Morris and Zeke 25 carries. Let the O line show dominance.
Give Zeke, this once, the OK to run and run often. And the occasional laser to Bease.
Do it all day.
The defense, with no blitzing, can cover the passing routes.
Do it, blokes! Seize the day, ruffians!

There's no way our defense can cover the passing routes with no blitzing. While Mo has played better, he's very physical which draws a lot of attention with the referees.
