Commanders lost and while the Eagles won, both them and the Giants looked like hot garbage! Let's hope all the changes over the bye do what they're intended to because while our NFC East counterparts have done their part, our guys still need to do theirs and get us a couple of wins before we get our QB back.

If we're all honest here, the NFCE (as a whole) is hot garbage. You've got teams like Pitt winning games with their 3rd string QB while Dallas holds out hope that other teams will take care of business for them. I know we've been hit by injuries but I honestly felt pretty good about our depth this year until these past 3 games. Both our coaching and player depth has been very disappointing early on. Now that our D is relatively healthy there is no excuse for them giving games away the way they did with the Saints and Atlanta. It's time for them to step up and hold the fort until we get our offense back.....

We've had 9 key players (starters or basically starters) out with injury or suspension.

Imagine if Pittsburgh lost along with Ben...Antonio Brown, DeAngelo Williams, Bud Dupree, Steve McClendon, with Lawrence Timmons unable to stay healthy and Cameron Heyward and Ryan Shazier coming off suspension. The Steelers lost Roethlisberger and Pouncey and that's pretty much it.

I'll give Pittsburgh credit, winning with Landry Jones is great. But, I can't imagine any team in the NFL having enough depth to deal with the injuries we have had.

We have one side of the ball healthy and ready to roll with the exception of our best CB that side of the ball has to do the heavy lifting, we just have to hope there's enough there on offense to skate by four more games

it's not so much the depth that concerns me or concerned perhaps...it's more we've yet to play a game where it looked like we were a pro football team. before the injuries started taking their toll we'd have a few drives and crash and burn. a few drives crash n burn.

injuries galore.

now this.

i'd feel better about getting our starters back *if* they did much this year while in. all i can do is hope when they do get back we'll get back to form.

I agree.

We got a little help in the Wild Card race, as the Bears and Seahawks both lost and went to 2-4. The Commanders also lost and went to 2-4, thus keeping there from being a 3-way tie for first-place in the division, and keeping the Cowboys from being dead-last in the NFCE.

Then the Eagles beat the Giants, which is also great for Dallas... Having both the Eagles and Giants at 1-2 in the division and 3-3 overall, is better than the Giants being 4-2 and 2-1 in the division. Now Dallas is only a half-game out of first place, and already 2-0 in the division...

It would have been nice if the Vikings had also lost, but other than that pretty much everything else went our way.

Did you miss the last SB that the Packers won? Not saying I don't agree with the premise of your post, I'm just sick of this team using injuries as an excuse. There's a weak mind-set on this team for some reason. We had 2 very winnable games while Romo has been out and both our D and O crapped the bed in both. That is inexcusable for a team that supposedly has the talent this one does.....Just sayin

Most important thing we need to do is play DISCIPLINE football, and we will beat them all

The Packers lost Rodgers for 1 game that season.

We will have lost Romo for 7 games.

And their WR corp was perfectly in tact.

The Packers had over 15 players out on injury that year. My whole point is the simple fact that Dallas can't seem to get over one injury, let alone several. The Packers also lost their #1 WR this year and their O hasn't skipped a beat. Do you think our O would be just as good without Dez, even with Romo? This is a very weak-minded team that loses confidence at the drop of a hat. What was the Pats record the year they lost Brady?.....

I'll agree to a point. Those first two games are NFCE games and traditionally, records are thrown out the window and it comes down to a game of survival. Our team did not give up and got the W so that is at least a little comforting.

Not sure if they practiced this past week, but, I didn't hear about any injuries , so , this week was definitely a good week.

It's not 1 injury though. It's a HUGE injury. It's a QB driven league and there are only about 15 serviceable or better QB's in this league. After that, it's a huge dropoff.

And we lost our #1 WR who is one of the most productive players in all of the NFL.

The year the Patriots lost Brady, they still didn't make the playoffs. And from 2000 to about 2013 they have played in the worst division in football. When Ryan Tannehill is the best QB in your division in the past 15 seasons, it's a little different than having faced QB's like McNabb and Eli.

At least with the Packers they had enough firepower on offense to build up leads, keep their defense off the field and just outscore the opponent.

Last year we had a TON of injuries on defense. But, we had a healthy offense...we scored points, we ate up the ToP on offense and we kept the defense off the field and in great positions to win games.

So we have won despite injuries.

The Pats lost Brady for a whole year. What was their record that year? The Steelers are 2-1 without Roth right now, and that was a 3rd string QB they won with Sunday. I'm not saying losing Romo hasn't been huge but this team has no guts when it comes down to crunch time. We are 0-3 without Romo. Hopefully Cassel will be better but this whole team needs someone to step up and lead on both sides of the ball.....

Pitt also had a Pro bowl caliber RB and TWO good WR's playing in that game!!!! Granted I think some of our issues have come from the sideling as well. A timeout should have been called in the Saints game and I haven't seen any tangible game time adjustments made as well.

The Pats lost Brady and he was replaced by Cassel. They did NOT go to the playoffs that year.
