The weakest thing, imo, that one can do while in a debate with a fellow Cowboy fan(or any fan for that matter), is to question another man or woman's fandom.

Can you guys come up with something just a little better than that? Most of us spend more time on this website each day than we spend at work. Why else would anyone spend that much time at a message board unless they were emotionally involved with the subject of the board?

Come up with something worth a damn instead of flashing your fan card.

I swear you guys remind me of rent-a-cops, grabbing at your flash lights like your going to shoot someone with them.

The worst thing you can do is question fanhood. Say "you never played the game so you don't know." And say that my opinion doesn't count because I don't have the solutions.

I wouldn't invest my time in this place if I wasn't a fan. I never played but I know crap when I see it, and I'm not paid to have the answers.

I never have a problem with anyone stating their opinion or putting down any member or facet of the team if they're actually fans. Most of the time, the real fans (as opposed to trolls) are known because I have read their posts over time and know that they have a rational opinion of the comings and goings of the team. What happens frequently, however, is that people who are obvious trolls, or posters with 7 posts , all of which are negative/hate-filled, come in here spewing their garbage just to see what kind of reaction they can get. Those kind of posters bother me.

I try not to even look at peoples post count, becuase everyone starts at 0. I was very reluctant to post here(the old board) when I first signed up becuase I saw a lot of newbie bashing, but I eventually got over it. I see what you are saying though, if a guy/gal shows up only on a day we lose to bash, I smell troll too, but people that have been around these parts forever are getting called out by guys that have been here for just a few months.....that is funny.

Agreed. I don't knwo what you've been saying recently, but I hate when people's reaction is, "you're a bandwagoner" or "you don't know how to take a loss". I've been an avid fan since 1998 (i'm young). I KNOW how to take a loss.

And I agree with you on that count. I don't even mind fans of other teams so long as they make it known who they are. I just don't like the phony fans.

It's probably pretty true that fans should never really question whether or not another person is really a fan or not.

It's just hard, sometimes, when some incredibly stupid things get posted around here not to wonder if some fans are really fans or not or if they're only really fans when the times are good.

That is a huge part of the bickering back and forth between us Dallas fans.

Some take it harder than others and blow off steam differently, some get over it faster than others. Some harbor it for days.

I try to make light of the situation, what ever it may be, if I can laugh, or make someone else laugh, I feel better.

Don't mean this as a slam against any age group, but I would venture to say better than half the posters here were born on the late 80's. They only remember the glory days of the 90s. There is a difference between being critical and dumping your team....you can and should be critical of the teams poor play and coaching. I would tend to think that you are not much of a fan if you DON'T!!

Well said. It's ridiculous to think someone is any lesser of a fan than you just because they disagree.

When people come on here day after day and only posts negative comments on how the whole team sucks.

I cannot believe they are surprised when people question what they are.

You can get your points across without spamming the board with negativity.

Some of us really don't care what you think.

When MY team loses like that it's just as valid for me to defend against attacks as it is to come here and talk about Romo's ****** getting hurt.

People react differently. And after a loss some decide to make every asinine comment and vent when others decide to circle the wagons. You want top come and insult this team? Fine, but some aren't gonna let every dumb*** statement go by like it's nothing.

One is probably no more right than the other, but certainly no more wrong.

But quit acting all hurt, I've have MY fandom questioned more times than I have questioned anyone else's just because I don't pile on this team with the rest of the mouthers.

When some say they are finished with the team I see nothing wrong with saying bye to them. I don't care if you cheer for the team or not that is your choice
