Wearing the gear of a school you didn't attend

I understand wearing gear of a school you didn't attend when it based on being a fan of a schools athletic programs. College athletics are spectator sports and have a following just like pro sports, and the schools, conferences and NCAA all promote that. As for Jessica Simpson wearing a Yale pullover - is she a fan of their chess club? I don't quite get that.

her boyfriend, former TE Eric Johnson went to Yale.

It adds 10 points to her IQ. :laugh2:

However the glasses are a -10 so it offsets. :lmao2:

My dad wears Maryland gear(since I had attended there as well as he did for law school), and had attended Washington and Lee University in VA. So yeah naturally I guess if it's in your family you are allowed to wear different school gear. I wear UMD Terps hoodies, and tshirts and nothing else.
