Tomorrow's forecast for the Giants/Skins game is they are expecting an 80% chance of rain with heavy downpours as the game gets going.

This could slow the game down for the Skins which would help give them a slight advantage.

Portis VS Jacobs and CO. will be interesting match-up to watch!

Even w/o Plax, the Giants still have the edge. However-when mother nature comes into play, the playing field is evened out 9/10 times regardless of who the opponents are.

The only problem, which I forgot, Portis isn't 100% healthy.

I think the weather favors the Giants heavily, as it will put more emphasis on the trenches. NY has an advantage in matchups along both lines. In particular, they should have a heavy advantage matching their OL against a banged up Washington DL (Montgomery and Golston are questionable). Add to that the absence of Marcus Washington, and I think you are looking at 200+ on the ground from Jacobs and Ward. The only question is how effective Jacobs can be on the injured knee.

London Fletcher (foot), DE Andre Carter (foot), DT Cornelis Griffin (shoulder) are all expected to play Sunday despite questionable tabs.

A very nice surprise for 'Skins fans considering Fletcher and Carter didn't practice all week. DT Kedric Golston (ankle) is a game-time decision, but at least the Commanders will have most of their best players in a crucial game Sunday.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter confirms that Clinton Portis is fully expected to play Sunday.

The Commanders should also have a number of key defenders available. Portis is far from 100%, but Jim Zorn wouldn't have handed Portis 29 carries last week if he was that concerned. Portis figures to get another heavy workload on a potentially muddy field Sunday. He won't light it up against the Giants, but remains a safe play.

To be frank, at this point in the season, I would think the majority of players in this league are banged up to some sort.

This IS a violent sport, and I'm sure these same players are tough enough to suck it in. Look at Jason Witten-he's been battling injuries all year, but his effectiveness has been the same.

No doubt, 100% agree.

With the way the Cowboys were able to gash the Skins on the ground, the Giants (with the league's best running game) will have a field day running the ball...

Commanders beat reporter Jason La Canfora expects a sloppy field at FedEx Stadium for Sunday's Commanders-Giants game.

There's a tarp on the field at the moment, but it will be removed in less than an hour. La Canfora says the rain has been "steady" and may contain some light hail. According to Weather.com, the chance of precipitation is 70%, although 10MPH winds shouldn't affect passing too much. Still, this is probably going to be a run-heavy slugfest.

It's been moderately raining here for the past 12 hours. It's going to be a mess.
