44 for a high -- snow and rain possible.

This was not a good week for businesses in Dallas. They must be totally bummed out --- I don't ever remember such weather the three years I lived in Dallas -- just that one week of ice. But we all know, Mother Nature does exactly as she chooses.

Anyone know if the stadium is heated???

I also read that in 2014 they are going to have the SB in New York/New Jersey in an open-air field - Meadowlands Stadium. Totally nuts. What were they thinking??? In February???:eek:

I hope they have a blizzard in that 2014 SB.

its bright and sunny right now,i think we will have a passing shower.

Seriously?

Actually, is it?? I was too lazy to look it up. So I just did, and I am still not sure of an answer. Some people said yes, but bring a jacket, you will still be cold.

Or are you saying "seriously" because it is a football game and you should be able to deal with it???

And saying that, it is my opinion that the SB should be played in perfect conditions -- no impact by weather. For example, this game in NJ, let's say San Diego (best weather in the country), and the Bears or Green Bay are on the NFC side. Who do you think has an advantage??? Sorry, but that just should not happen with the SB.

And if the Boys were playing in that game, would you say the same?? Nope. Sorry, but a game in NJ in February for the SB is just NUTS.:confused::confused:

They wont have the heat on. It is warm in there and I would be willing to bet with all the people the air will be on like it has been for cold home games the cowboys have had there so far.

oh and there isnt a cloud in the sky today it is beautiful ouside right now.

Tired of people just ripping the area 4 how the ice n snow storms were handled. Get over urselves my media friends. Sound like spoiled kids

The weather is beautiful right now (about noon).

We've had terrible luck thi sweek but they've still managed to hold pretty much all of the events.
Flip on ESPN right now. They're in the square in Ft Worth and it looks fabulous.
The NFLNW is holding court in side the stadium.

Oh yeah, of course the stadium is heated. Though they may not use it much today.

Thanks for the SERIOUS answer -- and good news. Seriously:lmao2:

I only went once to the SB -- in New Orleans. And it was freezing cold and windy -- once we got into the stadium it didn't matter. On field playing conditions were excellent -- that's all that matters.

But the weather did make an impact on seeing New Orleans (my first time) -- I did manage to go back and see the city 3 times after that -- but no way was I going to go site seeing when it is in the 20's and windy.

And on to the game -- go Green Bay.

I would have no problem if it was played outdoors in the Snow. Some of the greatest championship games of all time were played in bad weather. This BS about the conditions having to be perfect is just that - BS. This is FOOTBALL, not cissy crap like baseball or whatever.

There is a part of me that agrees with you, but my overriding thoughts are what game is being played. Any other game, and I agree with you.

For example, in the championship games, regardless of the weather, the team with the best record SHOULD have the home field advantage -- weather, fans, and all.

But the SB is the biggest game of the year. And there are advantages with the weather with some teams. I don't want to see any advantage -- not one with either team. No excuses. And weather does have an advantage for some teams. I know that from our Miami/New England two game a year games. When are, and where are those games going to be played? Big difference if they come into NE in December vs September.

The other thing, and it is a part that really annoys me, is that real fans have trouble getting tickets. There are a lot of very wealthy people (that don't mind paying $5,000 a seat - or more), or people that know someone, that get to go the game while real fans sit at home. These kind of folks are not going to sit in a snow storm to watch the game. And you say, so what, let the real fans go. And yes, they are the ones that should go. And actually as I think about this, screw them, let the real fans go. So, nix that thought.

I will stick with no advantage. And let the game begin.
