Just saw the report as 42 degrees with Rain and Snow.

This is what I want! I truly believe this would work to our advantage.

We are bigger and more physical than NY.

We have more of a physical running game.

Bledsoe is battle tested in bad weather.

Manning is throwing a lot of floating ducks, which bad weather will only effect more.

If I had more confidence in our running game I'd agree for the most part, but we are still very suspevt there. I'd give edge to Tiki in the running game....

I agree 100%, Champs. Parcells builds his teams for December, when the weather turns nasty. The last couple of years, we've played some of our best games in those conditions.

"The wind is a Raider..."

Just thinking about this game makes all those NFL Films songs play inside my head.

"The Autumn Wind is a Pirate,
Blustering in from the sea,
With a rollicking song,
He sweeps along,
Swaggering boisterously.

"His face is weather-beaten,
He wears a hooded sash,
With a silver hat about his head,
And a bristling black mustache.

"He growls as he storms the country,
A villain, big and bold,
And the trees all shake
and quiver and quake,
As he robs them of their gold.

"The Autumn Wind is a Raider,
Pillaging just for fun,
he'll knock you around,
and upside down,
and laugh when he's conquered and won."

-- Voiceover for the Oakland Raiders by Steve Sabol, CEO of NFL Films, immortalized in recitation by the legendary John Facenda.

Like the playoff game in carolina, let's not forget that gerat game in giants stadium last year. Not saying this is bad, but if we play in those conditions we're gonna need better blocking for our running game.

IMO, if the field is slippery or muddy, Tiki will be completly ineffective.

We are much more physical in our running game, they are more finese.

Yes, that 600 lb Brandon Jacobs is all about finesse

That's exactly what I was thinking... advantage to the team with the 300 lb. RB...

All they use him for is short yardage, and while he has crossed the goal line a few times, he runs slow and upright, ala Roy Williams blasting the ball out.

He also is not nearly as physical as a man his size should be, and I seriously doubt NY would try to feature him.

I don't know. I've always felt that weather was the great equalizer if you're a cold weather team as opposed to a warm weather team when the former has less talent than latter. I'd prefer the weather to be sunny and fair. Cold doesn't really matter when you get used to it, as long as its not that cold.

Bledsoe is and always has been a pretty bad poor weather QB. His strong grip isn't condusive to a cold/wet slippery football.

Just because he's played in northern cities and he should be "used to" poor weather doesn't really mean that he should play well in it.

It is only a 30% chance of precipitation right now. I would not get your hopes up for a rain or snow game. Too bad, because those are always classic.

The key thing here will be the wind... In NY this time of year, the cold isn't so bad, but if the wind is blowing it's a whole different game. Bledsoe has had plenty of experience in NE and especially in Buffalo..where it's always windy.

I don't know how Eli has faired so far or how his arm is rated... either way it's going to be all about the middle of the field between 5 and 15 yards. Witten and Shockey will get plenty of chances.
