I have a friend who is from Calgary. He doesn't understand why I like warm weather as much as I do. I don't understand how anyone can like cold weather. One time he said to me, "I can always put on more clothes and get warm. You can't take off enough clothes to get cool."

I responded, "In January or February when you have forgotten what women look like, call me and I'll describe them to you."

I am a lizard. I love the weather where I live. It is pleasant 8 months out of the year and really hot for mid May to mid September. I like being able to go play golf any time of year. I like being able to ride a motorcycle any time of year.

The heat doesn't bother me. I drink water, stay in the shade when I can, and use the A/C. Swimming is another bonus way to stay cool.

Some people will disagree I am sure. Tell me why you like or hate the weather where you live and what you prefer.

I never have to shovel snow or put on tire chains. I like it that way.

Only thing I hate about the Texas weather are times like now when it was 75 or whatever yesterday, and now it is like 40 and dropping. #WITW

I was really worried about moving to dallas for the winter because it gets snow more often than austin and houston but it was actually better than last winter was in austin so i was pleasantly surprised.

...winter.

Just spent hours shovelling snow this past week.

The problem with the weather here is it goes from -35 to +35 in celsius in a year. Snow is typically here on Halloween Day and leaves around mid April. That's half of your year in winter.

Any weather we get coms in sideways. Snow, rain, cold, heat all comes in sideways with the wind. The land is basically flat and you can watch your enemy and the weather coming in from miles away.

I live here because the job situation is very good if not the best in the world right now.

Low population congestion, wide open spaces, high wages and little competitors in my field.

Housing is really expensive here though. New 1400 sq. ft. bungalow with an unfinished basement on a 37 ft lot will set you back $400,000 cdn which is almost on par with the US dollar.

It's a sellers market here in terms of work, but I'm already making plans for the next stage of my life.

It will be somewhere warmer, but with less humidity if I can help it.

Like the heat I don't like the water vapour.

I love having seasons.

I love the winter. It's not cold when it's snowing (only when it is thawing), so I love the snowing part, not so much the clean up part. I love bundling up and hoping that it has snowed us in and we can take a day or two or three off. I think I had 6 weeks off of school my senior year in high school b/c of snow and asbestos issues. Great times.

I love the summer b/c I love swimming and I love to wear dresses and skirts.

I love the fall b/c of the colors. After a season in the Smoky Mtns in the Fall, you can't help NOT falling in love with fall.

I love spring time because that's when I was born (in April) so look forward to that.

I hate really hot and cold weather. I'm really looking forwards to the Spring and my favorite month May. There is no better thing to do than play golf on a sunny May day with the flora and fauna. Heaven.

I absolutely hate the summer. If it's above 70 degrees, it's too freaking hot!

Fall is my favorite time of year.

I hate the weather here in the summer because it's so humid and hot.

I only hate snow if it's in small amounts and not enough for them to call off work and I have to drive in it. Don't like risking my car in that. That and the yard gets so muddy and the dog brings it all inside.

Otherwise the only thing I don't like is the extreme fluctuations. For instance, last week we had 70 degrees one day, snow the next.

I don't really hate any season but I can stand cold weather better than hot. I have plenty of insulation for cold weather. :laugh2:

I'm not a huge fan of driving in snow but I love to see it falling. This winter we haven't had to worry about that.:

I like being able to experience all seasons, but I do prefer fall and the disappearance of the bugs. I can do without them and sweat. It's funny how your friend sad that about clothes, that was always my answer too.

When it's freezing cold outside, I love summer.

When it's burning up outside, I love winter.

Oh I will complain about sticky hot humid weather in the summers but I always say...I will take it over miserable cold winters anytime.

The trouble is..... we mostly get ice. I hate cold weather. Bring on the heat and humidity.

I also hate winter but the only way to truly cherish the highs in your life, is to also experience the lows.

If all you have is good weather, you don't appreciate as much. there is nothing that matches the euphoria of spring time following a brutal winter.

I live in a place where we usually get one or two light snowfalls per year - rarely more than about 2-3 inches. Just enough to get the kids really excited, have a snowball fight, make a small snowman, etc. But, it only sticks for a couple of days, then melts off. Summers can push the 100F line & are humid. Spring is pretty, but is a pollen bath (and I have allergies). Fall is very pretty, and of course, football is getting started so it is the best time of year.

I am always happy to be moving into the next season. Not because I don't like the season I am in, but because I can look forward to the differences that are coming. The only time I could do without is the very peak of the Summer heat... when it is 97F with 90% humidity & you break a sweat walking to the mailbox. Other than that, I am generally content.

As an avid golfer I love the fact I can play year around here in Houston as opposed to up north where you can't even see the golf courses under the snow.

I love being able to take a winter vacation and have fun in the snow skiing but always good to get back home where the sky are sunny all day.
