Weather where you are

Rain, rain, rain. Has been raining all month - cant remember what blue sky looks like! Forcast is for more rain for the next few days.
My life's experience has taught me that you never have to shovel rain. Count your blessings friend:grin:

Crazy hearing about all this snow everywhere, and here I am in Boise, Idaho, and we have……nothing. They’re even predicting 50° by next weekend. Fifty degrees in Boise is straight-up winter betrayal. Our ski resort that sits right above the city is barely hanging on. They’ve only got 7 out of 10 lifts running, mostly because they’re relying on snow machines now.

It’s been such a weird winter here. Idaho winter as a whole is underperforming. And while I hate winter, at least I want snow. It’s not just for fun, but it fills reservoirs and keeps wildfire season in check. Nothing worse than wildfire smoke ruining a summer day.

Stay safe out there friends!

Snow report! We have 10-12" on the ground. More on the way this afternoon, looks like another 3 to 4" so overall pretty good storm. Nice thing about this one is the snow is easy to move. Could go out there with a backpack blower and do the deck lol

I was thinking about use mine to clean up, after clearing the bulk of the snow.

But did you shut the valve and leave the engine running to burn off the fuel in the lines? Not that I think you're stupid, just that a lot of people don't know to do that.
yes. What's weird is I have a snow blower I bought sometime around 1991 and it still runs. Every year I say I am going to buy a new one so I just put it in the shed gas in the tank, shutoff valve open and it collects dust. In the winter I pull it out and it starts right up. Same gas as what's in the generator. The snow blower just won't die. Just used it again to clear my driveway of 15 inches of snow. When I bought it I thought it was overpriced - John Deere. Now after over 30 years I think I got my money's worth.

I spent a whole Winter in Bangor. It snowed a lot but never approached this kind of cold. It was rarely windy too.
I used to live in NH, at the base of the White Mountain region. It'd be 0° and snowing a lot. One day I stepped onto the roof of a house we were building and it was so cold, the frost on the roof didn't even show. It was like black ice. I went careening toward the edge, which was right above a 100 foot drop-off. Fortunately, there was a nailer (a 2×4, nailed to the roof, for just such instances), so I pushed my feet as hard as I could against the roof and hoped like hell I didn't just bounce over it. Obviously, it worked.

What happens when Tesla Full Self-Driving faces snow-covered roads with no visible lane markings? In this video, we take a 2023 Tesla Model X running FSD version 14.2.2.3 out into rare winter conditions in Dallas during “Alaska Day Two.”This drive focuses on how Tesla FSD handles snow and ice, especially when cameras can’t clearly see lane lines, road edges, or pavement texture. The system is tested across Chill, Standard, and Mad Max driving profiles, giving a real-world comparison of speed control, traction management, and comfort in poor conditions.

Yeah, I'd say any piece of mechanical equipment that lasts 35 years doesn't owe you anything at this point....

Good for you on that purchase!

I don't plan on living anywhere, where I'd need one of these . . .

ATC 90, or 70? I used to ride them both. The 90's were pretty cumbersome, especially on the frozen lake, doing jumps.
Its was a Big Red which I believe was a 250. It got really crazy though when they started putting 250 2-strokes in them. I recall the Honda ATC 250R and I believe the kawasaki Tecate?

Slapping a CR and KX engine in those things was crazy......adding the 4th wheel was a Godsend.
