Weather where you are

Its was a Big Red which I believe was a 250. It got really crazy though when they started putting 250 2-strokes in them. I recall the Honda ATC 250R and I believe the kawasaki Tecate?

Slapping a CR and KX engine in those things was crazy......adding the 4th wheel was a Godsend.
Yeah, 3 points of contact is stable for an end table, but not for a vehicle. Still, they were a blast, especially the little 70's.

Get up about 6:45 this am. I hear noise that sounds like wind but somehow different. I look out the sliders and see that my pool water is all choppy, pool does not turn on until 11. Hot tub is in high activity mode, I press the off button on my remote and display says Freeze Warning, Button Inactive! Ok ask Grok a couple of questions and it’s an automated protection system that the pool equipment goes into when the temps reach certain levels. Have been in Sarasota since Aug 2019 and have never seen this before, 31 degrees this am Sarasota.

That is pretty crazy for Sarasota to have freezing temps.

This time of the year, we normally have 1-3 feet of snow in the forest around our home. There's no snow and faint signs of green grass.

The temperatures for most of January and February have ranged from the high 20's to the mid-40's. Typically the highs are in the 20's with nighttime lows in the single digits.

Bizarre weather this year in NW MT.

We've had rain every day of 2026 so far. Last dry day waa 28th December. Normally our rain (Ireland) is light showers, but a lot of heavy rain recenty - a few places getting flooded. Ground is saturated. Most kids field sports fixtures are cancelled the past few weeks due to waterlogged fields. No sign of dry weather over the next few days.

Where in Ireland?

Winter has finally arrived in NW Montana with several inches of snow and temperatures in the 0-15 F (-17 to -10 C) range.

Rain will expand into the San Francisco Bay Area and northern San Joaquin Valley Tuesday afternoon. “The main spots prone to flooding will be just north of San Francisco Bay in areas of rugged terrain and in the Sierra foothills of Central California,” according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Kai Kerkow.

Wind gusts of 40-50 mph are expected along the Northwest Coast on Sunday, which could result in isolated power outages and downed tree limbs.

Heavy, wet mountain snow expected
Snow levels will be much higher than with the storm last week.

The storm will push the Sierra snow moisture content even closer to the historical average. According to the latest snowpack data, the Northern Sierra remains 12% below the historical average, while the Central and Southern Sierra are 16–21% below average. Even after the monster storm last week, the water content in the snow is still below average simply due to the large gap between winter storms this year.

Snow totaling 5-10 inches will blanket the Cascades into the Siskiyou Mountains this weekend. Avalanche risk will increase above 4,500 feet, particularly where heavy, wet snow accumulates.

Across the Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains above 4,500 feet, 5-10 inches of heavy wet snow is expected this weekend. The storm will shift into the northern Rockies Tuesday into Wednesday, with 8-12 inches of snow expected above 5,500 feet.
