So me, the wife and kids flew from Chicago to Ft. Worth to see family over Christmas. We flew back and then on the 24th through January 4th we went to the Bahamas with my wife's family. Got back here and snow was crazy. Today I walked to train and it was -16 with -40 WC. Here is last Monday and yesterday for me

I've found the world's worst job -- baggage handler at the Minneapolis airport when it's minus-50 degrees outside. pic.twitter.com/UH9xYr2Xpu

Anyone heard anything yet about this being a record breaking winter?

I know at least in the DFW area this has been, by a large margin the coldest winter I can remember in a long time. Nothing that's been completely unbearable, but the consecutive mornings of below freezing are starting to take its toll on me.

It was 12 this morning with a wind chill of 4, in Dallas freakin' TX.

Yup... I remember a few years back. I dug my car out of 3 feet of snow in New York in the morning and was poolside in Puerto Rico by noon. Lol

Any good almanac sites or predictable weather sites. I want to see how mid February 2014 is looking?

The Farmers Almanac said this would be the worst winter in decades in Chicago and so far they've been right. So they may be close on February wherever.

I just moved from Indiana back to Dallas, and I'm loving this winter. I actually just bought a new bike and have been riding it for fun haha. This week we are supposed to have about 60 and sunny all week long.

Yeah. We've had some nice weather peak out every now and then. The cold hasn't been nearly as consistent as the tumultuous heat in the summer. My issue is going to work before the sun rises and having to spend 20 minutes in a freezing car (not garage kept). My little 4 cylinder just doesn't get the heater going quickly enough.

And my office temp is always a cool high 50s, maybe low 60s because it's at the front of a warehouse and the door is always opening and closing-- it just stays drafty.

So basically, I step out of my home and don't warm up at all until I return home after the sun goes down again.

There are definitely worse things, but I'm really getting tired of the cold. It just annoys me more than anything.

Spent a winter in north central Canada. Went out the day it hit -32, just to say I'd experianced it. It was like trying to breath sharp icicles. Everyone was wearing their parkas inside.

Good luck to everyone! I think I'll stay south.
