Honestly, after getting punched in the mouth all game long, I wouldn't want to take any time off. I can understand healing nagging injuries, but I wouldn't refer to those as vet days.

What happens if the drug tester shows up to collect his tribute on a Vet day with the player not in attendance?

They fail and get suspended. Seems legit right?

With an extra game in the schedule, this forces veteran 'special care' but also younger players onto the field and much more game experience across the board. This makes a stronger and deeper roster.
