* I incorrectly titled last week's report as Week 10. Week 10 was a mixed bag for Dallas. NYG winning was great but just missed wins for Jacksonville and Washington kept this from being an amazing week.

Current Draft Order / Week 11 Opponent:
1. NY Jets 0-9 .597 SOS / at LA Chargers: a Jets win might be the best and worst result for Dallas
2. Jacksonville 1-8 .554 SOS / vs Pittsburgh: a Jacksonville upset win would be huge for Dallas
3. Dallas 2-7 .471 SOS: at Minnesota: Dalvin Cook must be excited
4. Washington 2-7 .472 SOS / vs Cincinnati: Overall a Washington loss would be better for Dallas.
5. LA Chargers 2-7 .504 SOS / vs NYJ: A Chargers win might be more likely to actually help us
6. Houston 2-7 .565 SOS / vs New England: Miami fans must be torn who to root for
7. Cincinnati 2-6-1 .522 SOS / at Washington: A Cincinnati loss would be better for Dallas
8. Several teams with three wins

In what could be a QB heavy draft at the top, three teams (four if you count Dallas) of the top 7 already have their QB of the future.

Week 11 - Best Scenario for Dallas:
1. NYJ 1-9 .597 SOS: beat Chargers.
2. Dallas 2-8 .472 SOS: lose or risk a two game winning streak next week against Washington
3. LA Chargers 2-8 .504 SOS: lose to NYJ. Chargers are just the team to blow a game to NYJ
4. Jacksonville 2-8 .554 SOS: beat Pittsburgh. It would be nice if Pittsburgh's first loss would help Dallas
5. Cincinnati 2-7-1 522 SOS: lose to Washington
6. Several teams at 3-7

If Dallas is determined to keep Prescott, this could lead to a huge bundle of picks in a trade down.

Week 11 - Worst Scenario for Dallas:
1. Jacksonville 1-9 .554 SOS: loses to Pittsburgh
2. NYJ 1-9 .597 SOS: beats LA Chargers
3. LA Chargers 2-8 .504 SOS: loses to NYJ
4. Houston 2-8 .565 SOS: loses to New England
5. Cincinnati 2-7-1 .522 SOS: loses to Washington
6. Washington 3-8 .472 SOS: beats Cincinnati and lower SOS than Dallas
7. Dallas 3-7 .471 SOS: beats Minnesota and higher SOS than Washington
8. Several teams at 3-7 but worst SOS. Unlikely a team's SOS drops lower than Dallas.

Thanks for keeping up and posting this info, it is very interesting to see it each week.
I still want to win games, but not going to be sad if we keep losing. So this is good to see. It makes losing easier.

No need to tank. This team is bad enough to lose without trying to.

I take this thread as information. Not as an approval of tanking.

Players and coaches don't tank

I think we’re going to lose out. Philly and WFT are bad, but we are worse, even if we had Gilbert in. We will lose out and we will get a top 3 pick.

No more tank updates needed. We aren’t getting that first pick though. Jets unfortunately seem to have us beat on that one.

I am confused. Are we rooting for the Bengals (#4) or the Generics (#7).

if justin fields is on the board at the three we have to take him to prevent Washington from taking him.

yeah i dont think they will drft 2 ohio state QBs in a row, imagine if he busts too.

You're both wrong.

You don't draft a player just to keep them from another team. That's a recipe for a bad draft. At best you trade out of the spot to allow someone else to draft the player.

You don't "NOT" draft a player because of history with the school. That's a recipe for a bad draft. You judge each player on their own merit. In this case, it appears Fields will be MUCH higher rated and worthy of a top pick.

It's a coin flip. In the chart I choose the Generics winning because that could push Dallas to pick higher than both teams. If Cincinnati wins then Dallas will have a lower draft spot than Cincinnati.
