These are the outcomes that help the Cowboys' chances to make the playoffs:

Early Saturday:
NYJ over NYG
CIN over ARI

Late Saturday:
DAL over PHI
SD over DET
SF over SEA

Sunday Night:
GB over CHI

Monday Night:
NO over ATL

Notes:
  • Easy way to remember most of them: root for the team with the two-word city name.
  • If DAL beats PHI and NYJ beats NYG, pop the champagne.
  • If PHI beats DAL, none of the others matter, and it's on to week 17.

I think the only 2 we might have go against us are Arizona and Detroit. We are going to beat the Eagles and I think the Jets will handily beat the Giants.

Hmm, odds would seem to be in our favor in most of those games. Detroit can probably handle the Chargers at home though.

I think the Chargers will beat the Lions. Stop Megatron and the Lions are nothing. I can't believe the Raiders let him run free in the last 2-3 minutes of their loss last week.

I'd double or triple-team the guy on every play.

Yeah, that was pretty pathetic.

I have a Fantasy Football interest in Stafford doing well. I rolled the dice on him in my 3 leagues and it paid off for me. I hope the Lions shred the Chargers and send Norv job hunting in Dallas.

No, I don't think he would come, unless Wade Wilson and John Garrett both leave. Which is really possible. Hudson Houck may be gone as well via retirement. So Norv coming could help stabilize the Offense.

Some more info:

If any of the following happen, we are eliminated from wildcard contention.
  • NYJ beats NYG.
  • PHI beats DAL.
  • ATL beats NO.
  • DET beats SD AND SEA beats SF AND ARI beats CIN.

I might want Detroit to win out.

Atlanta has some scary matchups for us. Namely Terrence Newman on anyone

How does the Jets beating the Giants eliminate us from the wildcard race?

Yes, Falcons WRs are scarier than Calvin Johnson.

If that happens, we either win the division (by winning any game) or go home (by losing out).

Unless Atlanta, Detroit, and Chicago all lose out and the twister spinner lands on left hand red.

Atlanta has two WR's. Detroit has one.

Hide your kids if it's Newman on Julio Jones

Sounds like a good poll

Newman on any playoff WR1 or WR2 will be an issue. The Giants exposed him over and over again. Not too complicated when you're playing 20 yards back and clearly afraid.

So, we can still make the playoffs at 8-8 or no?

Can you imagine the uproar here is Norv came back? A lot of people can't get over the fact that Campo is here again. Of course, most of Norv's losing seasons came as the Commanders' coach. :D

No, we cannot. DET and ATL already have 9 wins, and only NYG or PHI can win the division at 8-8 (since they will each have swept us).

I honestly don't know. We're going to win out and finish 10-6, so I haven't bothered to look it up.

I thought the left hand red on twister was a dead giveaway that I was just joking around. Had I said left hand green I can see where people might not catch it.

i presume this is by type-o?

i would love for norv to come here but not at the expense of garrett leaving

wade wilson and houck can leave when they want

John, not Jason.
