We all saw how bad Steele was last season and yet he is the team's top choice to replace Collins while he is on suspension? Most of us believed if the Cowboys were going to have success, Steele wouldn't have taken a single snap for the entire year. Clearly McGovern is our #1 backup and the team should play their 5 best players with Martin kicking outside.

In an irony, we are playing the Chargers this week, who by the way drafted Rashaun Slater. I was a huge supporter of drafting Slater for this very reason. He could of started at Guard and kicked out at Tackle if injury or in this case suspension occurred. The drop-off from Collins to Steele is great and has the potential to wreck the entire offense. Not saying Parsons was a bad pick or I hated the selection, but knew the team had to upgrade the Tackle position.

I wanted Dallas to take a tackle, I'm happy with Parson's but I was hoping they would invest in a tackle early in the draft since both tackles were coming off season-ending injuries last year.

Steele is not starting because the team drafted Micah Parsons. Steele is starting because the Cowboys are run by two completely incompetent ***clowns that instinctually always do the wrong thing.

There's an option there to field a good OL at all 5 positions on Sunday. They've chosen not to do that and to limit their offense by helping out the guy they know is overmatched.

Sort of surprised they kept Ty and his now guaranteed base if Steele is the swing tackle.

Hopefully Ball can get up to speed this year so if Collins has another setback we can at least see what he can do.

yup.

Total agreement.

many of us saw that this was going to happen with Collins.

McGovern is a Guard. This musical chair nonsense can catch up to you. The "5 best players" is important if those players are in their best suited position.
I'd put Smith at LT, McGovern at RG, Bladasz at C, Martin at RG and find the best RT we have.

And that would be dumb when you have 5 quality OL and a huge dropoff after that.

But hey, cool.....natural positions.

I do not think you can play 2 guys at RG.....but I get what you meant. McGovern played well enough at RG last week to earn another start while kicking Martin out to RT. Dallas just needs to tell Martin that is what is best for the team.

Don't know the full details on Collins but if he is truly innocent his appeal ought to work, yes?

So I assume he has let his teammates and fans down.

After what happened last year it's not acceptable.

I dont like Elliott because of the selfish immaturity, but now that I think on it.....Collins has easily taken that crown from him.

sorry but you are NOT a coach, not talent evaluator, and for sure not in the practice sessions and have zero idea how Steele or TYN will sub for LC..lc not hurt hes coming back and hopefully wins an appeal and back sooner.this is not 2020

last year was last year ps is not the same as a backup playing next to other top starters..most of last year backups were all lined up next to each other..they dont want to over martin so hes the glue between Biadsz and the swing Tackle whomever that might be.

guess what if the coach has reason to so it i wont question it until it doesn't work..

absolutely 100% NOT on drafting an OL over Parsons or top cb they made the 100% best choice and going back in hindsight is so easy as keyboard gm with no actual NFL Pro football experience AT ALL.glad you think your watching football makes you a expert, you are not..,the experts are the ones you sit and drink beer and stuff your fat face watching and getting Dorito dust on your keyboard questioning their every move..it wasn't the right move to get a OL early i support what they did we needed to rebuild the defense and guess what,

next year might be looking DE/ and DT early!!

OL is not concern yet not enough to go out and rounds 1-2 get one when you have ignored defense for a decade..if Dak and this offense cant overcome one OL being out 5 games suspended not hurt, well they dont deserve to be making the money they do..

that entire offense takes like 65% of our cap, maybe more, so you want more resources we just got Biadsz and Mcgovern plus a few lower round ones this season we can develop. teams cant affords to play your FF madden approach they have real holes to fill in other area, you want PB players at all 5 OL positions how phreaking fantasy land thinking is that..our defense has suffered and still needs work..

BTW look around the league a lot of rookie and 2nd year OL already inured, many other positions injured it happens even to rookies and young players..for al we know our new shiny rookie OL would have got hurt already. happened to Biadsz and McGovern..your logic doesn't compute when applied to the real world as there no guarantees it would have worked out..

hers an easy resolve

If steele struggles early take him out insert steele if he struggle's even a series take him out push over Martin and move in Mcgovern..

we need to see if the Tackles we kept and paid taking up a roster spot can in fact do their jobs.

BTW Martin got hurt game 2 playing RT he doesnt love it his natural position is Guard and you dont make 2 moves on the line to cover 1..i know this coaches have said that for decades ive been watching ..they will try TY and Steele ,if they cant handle it they will move to Martin..

so please stop puffig your FAN chest out as if a somehow you woke up an NFL GM or coach..we all know that not true..

ill back the coach until it doesnt work..this isnt Gartets team anymore and i doubt MM, Moore or , the OL coach will allow any of the Tackles struggle to long before yanking them ie this is not chaz green situation and for sure not 2020 situation where we had no qbs and had our 3rd string oL inmost of the year

lets let this work itself out watch and judge AFTER..

pissing and moaning before hand is just that..smh wow just wow the Gaul on fan knowitall syndromes ..this place is full of oh this what id do blah blah it has Zero bite bro..you are clicking a keyboard not running a billion dollar sports franchise. ya dig?

Martin is a better Guard. I think the staff understands this.

This coaching staff doesn't have the guts to tell Martin "look, you are playing RT. Deal with it..."
And before the we respect Martin crowd steps in, the owners and coaching staff allowed this environment for way too many years in where players even think they have a choice to say no to what their employer needs them to do.

That's just completely false. They already did last season. It's about the best O line across the line, not JUST the tackles.
