Love me or Hate me, this is how we see them unfolding. We wish everyone's team good luck and good sportsmanship. Remember, its just a game, a very important game.
Minnesota Vikings At Cincinnati Bengals
The vikes are horrible. Without moss, defensive coordinators get to spend the week preparing for them and ultimately exposing their below average talent and average QB for what they are, instead of spending a week confusing their defense by scheming to try and stop Moss. The Bengals are not great, but win this irrelevant game at home. Bengals - (24-17)
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts
Jags are overrated, the Colts are not. Peyton and crew are the team to beat. Getting the Patriots at home in January is the key to their Superbowl year, they know it, and it starts this Sunday. Expect Manning to look like a man among boys.
Colts - (31-16)
Pittsburg Steelers at Houston Texans
Looks like Rothlesburger may have a nagging knee injury. It doesn’t matter much in the outcome because the Steelers will run all over them. I’m picking this one assuming the QB is playing but limited. Texans are not ready to pull this one out.
Steelers – (24 – 10)
San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles
The 49ers looked very good at rushing the passer. McNabb is injured and will not play well and probably not finish this game. My prediction is for an impending QB controversy in Philly. (You heard it here first) Eagle’s backups are better passers than McNabb. 49ers are better than last year, but not much. Expect a close and sloppy game both teams try hard to lose.
Eagles – (23 – 17)
Buffalo Bills at Tampa Bay Bucs
Buffalo has one of the best running backs in the game that they haven’t figured out how to use. The Bucs also might have found a gem in Cadillac Williams if plays like last week. Gruden is still the epitome of the NFL and I believe he has his team ready for the home game. Brighter days are waiting on the Bills, but not this week.
Buccaneers – (27 -24)
Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans
Tennessee is going in the wrong direction. It might be time to scrap the heap and begin preparing for draft picks. The Ravens are an average team, no better, no worse. This road victory will give them hope for the playoffs in early week two, but it wont get much better in the following weeks.
Ravens – (20 – 10)
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears
Chicago is just not a very good team. They showed life of moving the ball against the Commanders in the 2nd half, but inexperience kept them from converting. Detroit has some very young weapons, but we are not sold on Harrington just yet. The bears will hope their defense is as good as the Commanders say, but it is not. Lions survive a sloppy game.
Lions – (27 – 24)
St. Louis Rams at Arizona Cardinals
Kurt Warner appreciation day bites the Cards where it hurts. Two very bad teams will be scoring on each other with bad offenses. The rams have a gem in Steven Jackson if they can figure out how to use him. The Cardinals and Denny Green are just now finding out the reason why Warner was available to any team that wanted him. Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers will be the theme.
Rams – (23 - 13)
Atlanta Falcons at Seattle Seahawks
The falcons Defense will realize today that McNabb was not a very good QB. The Falcons realize today that Michael Vick is not the best QB playing in this game. Hasslebeck can spread it around, and will do just that. Falcons D spends the day chasing ghosts.
Seahawks (28 - 17)
Miami Dolphins at New York Jets
The fins were impressive in the opener and the Jets looked horrible. This rivalry game will change the tide. Nick Saban is the coach of the year, but it will not let them run away with this one. Dolphins will play good, but the Jets have more to prove. We anticipate Pennington playing the game he missed last week. Jets will pull this one out.
Jets (23 – 14)
San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos
The Chargers lost a close game to a very good Cowboys team while the Broncos got blown out by an average team. Nothing changes here as the bolts showcase their offense in mile high stadium to some very confused Bronco players and fans.
Chargers (35 – 7)
Cleveland Browns at Green Bay Packers
Farve is done, Cleveland is not there yet. This could go either way. We give the packers some points for being at home. This one is almost to hard to pick. We believe these teams are going in opposite directions.
Browns (17 -16)
Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders
Great Googily Moogily, this game should have some points scored. We are high on Collins at home. Momentum tells us to pick the Chiefs by 14, but we just don’t see it by that much. This game will help us understand if the Chiefs are ready for the rest of the year. We think they are.
Chiefs (31 – 27)
New York Giants at New Orleans Saints (sort of)
Actually, a home game for the Giants ends the Saints desire to steal the America’s Team nickname from the Cowboys. Saints are extremely overrated after a win last week. Giants are strong and preparing for play in a tougher division. Eli is still better than Kurt Warner and his team buys in for real after this game.
Giants – (27 – 20)
Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys looked very strong in the opener by answering the only questions that appeared after the let down from the 2003 playoff appearance. America’s Team will honor Emmit Smith, Troy Aikman, and Michael Irvin at half. Commanders looked horrible in their first game and plan to put Brunell back in to suffer more of the same disgust they saw last year. Turnovers, mistakes and stalled drives will be the theme for the skins. Problem for them, their kicker is hurt. This one gets ugly fast as Commanders fans look to explain away defensive problems. The Dallas Cowboys are America’s Team. This win will bring out the national fans and remind the world why the Cowboys enjoy that title.
America’s Team – (31 – 13)
