who else believes this? i think losing a game like last night really sucks, but it does happen. what will be interesting to see is how the team reacts. if they come out on fire and pound the niners, i think all will be forgotten and we will go on to have a great year. i think this is entirely up to Garrett and the players with leadership roles! they HAVE to show confidence this week and motivate the young guys!

if we play like we did yesterday again the 49ers we will beat them handily

Make or break? No but it clearly is important to go out and win this game to avoid being put in a hole this early in the season.

If you honestly believe that the second game of the season will make or break our season then you haven't been following pro football very long. As much as we all would like to get the bad taste of week 1 out of our system, it's a little naive to think that we would be done if we were to lose next week.

I believe this is a different team this year. I believe they will be extremely pissed off all week and then take it out on the the 49ers. I am expecting a total beat down in all 3 phases of the game.

Dude.... we were 3 points short of the JETS. So how would the 49ERS beat us handily if we play the same way?????

The stupid on this website is stifling after a loss.

Agreed. I struggle with the knee jerk reactions that happen so often here. In football, it's important to have a short memory. Forget about the last play and focus on the next game.

ive been following pro football long enough to know that its very unlikely that a team gets into the playoffs after starting 0-2. specially in our division and the amount of good teams in our conference. Emmitt smith is coming to save us this time if we start 0-2

We better win this game because I just made a bet with a 49er fan. I am trying to goat other 49er fans to bet this game but so far no more takers. i really think this is a sucker bet since it is straight up and I believe the Cowboys will win handily. I am not being a homer or anything like that. I think that the Cowboys kill them.

You read his post wrong. He is saying if we play like we did yesterday against the Jets, we beat the 49ers handily.

Next week's game won't be easy. On the road again, against the '9ers who start with 2 games at home. That said, I think we should win if the injuries we saw last night don't linger.

But since I don't see us as a Super Bowl contender this year, no, I don't think it makes or breaks our season.

I think the 49ers will beat us. I hope not, but we have never done well in Candlestick...

...going from NY to Frisco back to back? Then there's the fact we got our hearts ripped out and handed to us....close game....50/50..could go either way despite the fact we are better than they are.
