Id like to get Burnett going soon, but we need Al active to at least give Burnett a break, and for vet. experience.

Vet experience at whiffing on tackles? Getting blown off the ball? What does he do?

Shanle is 5 times the player already Burnett/Fujita instant upgrades. Make the move!

Burnett is not backing up Ware. So Burnett would be giving Ware a break, not Al. Fujita is now backing up Al Singleton.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. So saying Henson will be inactive is a bold, yet equivocal, statement.
Pretty much, yes. The 3rd QB on any roster is the emergency backup. In other words it is a sneaky way of actually dressing 46, because he will be in uniform.

Let's give a weird example. Say Henson is 3rd and inactive. Bledsoe goes down with a minor injury and we need Romo to go in at QB for a play. Let's further say Romo pretends he is Thurman Thomas and can't find his helmet.

If we send Henson in for that 1 snap, neither Bledsoe nor Romo can goback in. If Henson were to then go down we probably use Patrick Crayton at QB.

I'm sure that would never happen. Just giving you a scenario.

Yes Fujita is his direct backup and likely starter. But they are toying with moving Ware around on both sides some. Burnett played the positional all training camp and could handle it if need be.

All in all upgrades.

At least you see the writing on the wall.....
That you are going to claim you were right all along once Singleton is gone?

Yeah, that was hard to predict.

How about this? I say we're going to release Drew Bledsoe. I'll remind you I said this before anyone else 2 or 3 years from now when it happens.

I can't wait to bang my drum and beat my chest. I called it.

This is the one time I agree with Nors. Not that Singleton will be inactive this week, that's not happening, but that Singleton is a very unproductive LB. His line from last week(0 tackles) is the norm for him throughout his career in Dallas, he adds very little. I know he's smart and doesn't make mistakes and is a leader, but can't he do that as a backup? ST's? Pretty expensive for a backup and ST guy though. I'd much rather have Fujita and Shanle in there more often and I think that's the way were headed rather soon. Never been a big fan of Al, one of the least productive starting LB's in the NFL since he got here.

All starters inactive - thats absurd. I'm advocating benching a non producer.

A guy that made ZERO tackles last week? Fujita and Burnett in the wings - thats starting to loom as a decision.....

Same BS when I called 3-4, Hybrids, Romo, Right Side of Oline sucked last year(some here actually tried to debate that bad boy!)

Its not if, but when. Als sucks.

Burnett hasn't even been practicing that side when healthy. Fujita will continue to get reps, but I expect a rotation for a while yet.

Shanle? That guy is nickel only right now. He has to have some hole in his game because Bill won't even try him anywhere else. I think maybe Bill thinks he is too small to play outside.

You "called" 3-4 like 3 years ago. And have blathered on about it incessantly since. Great prediction. Now that it is here, I am still not sold on it being the best defense for the team. Can't discuss that with you though since all you can see is "4-3 cover 2" and "3-4". Do some research on nickel, 4-3 over/under and come talk to me sometime. We might have a great football discussion. I have certainly tried, but it has fallen on deaf ears.

What about all your other "whiffs"? Al being cut. Ty Law (numerous times), Canty at TE, Merriman over Ware, the numerous guys you predicted the team taking in the draft, Allen to NT, we could go on and on.

The simple fact is, I don't care if someone is right or wrong. Most people are wrong more than they are right (including you), but you get so darned bent out of shape when anyone says anything about you being wrong.

Frankly, IMO, its ruining the board. No one wants to discuss anything anymore. Its just pushing agendas and people trying to prove they were "right".

I wasn't here 3 years ago. I started posting here approx. 8/03.

But yes - I correctly called the 3-4 against all the naysayers, excuse makers. And I was dead on correct. 4-3 base = bye bye!

Stop bringing it up Junk in the trunk! I was trying not to rub it in.

Als sucks no matter what scheme you are straddling agenda's on.
Shanle fills big role and is on the field a lot.

And actually hits opponents. Unlike Al our friendly invisible small ghost!

Like I was saying....

The only thing I care about is getting the best defense on the field. I don't think I support any real agenda. The 3-4 has some nice starter pieces. Its still missing a few.

If Al sucks so bad, why does he start? If Shanle is so good, why isn't he given the opportunity to challenge Al for an upgrade?

You beat your own chest anytime you think you are right and even sometimes when you aren't. It gets old.

Pep Johnson, Fowler, Atrain, Noll, Ratliff, Peterman, Ogbogu

Burnett plays backup to Ware and helps on special teams. If not Eric O then my guess is we bench Polite again.

Nope, not Polite. We learned our lesson about not having a fullback on power plays. Unless his pass blocking is suspect, he will be active. If he is inactive again, I would say the kid is on his way out for not being able to block.

And Nors. I usually agree with everything you say, but predicting Parcells to run a 3-4 does not make you Nostredamaus. It was just a matter of time.

With respect Junk, as I normally enjoy reading your posts, what say we stop using the term agenda? As far as I see it, an agenda is something you push or further in order to effect real change. As unbelievably irritating as Nors can be with his useless predictions and constant 'book its', to say that he's pushing an agenda gives him way more credit than he deserves. No amount of his being wrong (or right for that matter) will affect the running of this board, much less that of the team. It's like my undying love for Issaic Holt: I know many of you don't share this view, yet I will hold it for the rest of my days. Nevertheless, I harbour no delusions of Holt getting his name on the ROH, or even some respect on these boards. It's simply the way I feel, not an agenda.

The only tangible agenda someone like Nors appears to have vis-a-vis this board is irritating people, one in which many of you have unwittingly helped him further by responding to his drivel in the first place.

I agree. You are probably right, if myself and others would ignore his nonsense, it probably wouldn't be such a big deal. Calling them unwitting isn't exactly true though. I do realize that he is nothing more than a troll here, but I still feel the need to respond when he is so off base on so many things. My resposes probably don't help a bit though. I'll try to curb them.

BTW, Issaic Holt was one of the those Cowboy players that autographed a card and returned it to me when I sent it to him as a kid. He is alright in my book.

God you can't imagine how jealous I am. There has never been a cooler Cowboy. Robert Drummond is still probably brushing off the cobwebs (Holt afficionados will know what I'm talking about!)
