The thing I don't understand is playing the Giants & Eagles both in a span of 4 weeks..

Saints had a week 5 bye last season and they ended up winning the Super Bowl. Steelers had a week 6 bye in 2008 and won the Super Bowl.

An early bye isn't a big deal.

The only way to know what week would be good for a bye is if you knew what week key players would have injuries.
