Week 4 NFL map

According to this map, the game won't be shown in my area.

And you know what? I'm not really that fussed about it.

There was a time when I would be in a panic. Not anymore.

The NFL's blackout rules are extremely out of touch with the modern televised technology it fully embraces, namely the Sunday Ticket. If you are in an area where two game are played back-to-back locally, you are potentially screwed when your game is the second one if the first game extends into overtime. I get that my game is blacked out locally but the technology should not prevent me from seeing my game until the first game has concluded--whenever the heck that may be.

After all, I am a Ticket subscriber. I pay for the game I want to see when it is not available for me locally. Well, the game is not available locally if another game interrupts it. The NFL and Directv should allow subscribers to watch their games full screen during such situations and cut the feed when the interrupting game concludes. THEN subscribers can change their channel to the LOCAL affiliate and watch the rest of their game. It is a crazy world though...
I also have the ticket and I remember 1 year that If the first game ran over because of OT that you could watch the beginning of your game on ticket until the local network switches over.

That’s why we lost last week. Cause I missed the first 10 minutes of the game. Stupid networks. Didn’t think they were aloud to do that. Was very rude.
My wife knows to fire a lawyer if I die from an aneurysm waiting to see my game. I am like a caged tiger pacing back-and-forth waiting for the idiots to switch to my game while forcing me to look at teams I could not care less about. Cussing like Rain Man on crack! "Saints? Saints?? Who gives a <expletive> about Saints??? WAPNER!!!" I hope she can find an attorney clever enough to successfully sue the crap out of the league over these antiquated blackout rules.

My tombstone will read "Here Lies A Cowboy Fan Jerry Jones Directv Killed".

Lmao. Dude we must be twins. I starting getting pissed about 3 minutes before kickoff because I knew I was gonna bet screwed. After kickoff I was yelling and screaming at the TV and running to the other TV trying to find a stream to watch it. My wife took the dog and went outside till I stopped. Once the game came on and I saw them playing the yelling continued. She grabbed a beer and joined me. I will keep her.

The beginning of the game must have been shown on another channel not dedicated to the scheduled Dallas game then because the dedicated channel kept posting the same blacked out message last Sunday. Of course, the receiver automatically does a 'Game Search' when you turn to that particular Ticket channel, successfully finds a match, which is (duh) the LOCAL channel, that I turn the channel to like a crazed person knowing it still had the stupid Saints overtime game going!!!

Please ignore the insane mini-rant. :(

No Cowboys for us in the DC area. Trying to decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Yeah ticket channels aren’t doing it this year. It was last year or the year before the ticket channel (mine are in the 700s) would show the game if the local was in OT. It would broadcast it until the local station switched over.

It might just be where you live at because this is still the main 1pm fox game. I have Sunday ticket also so never worry about the maps anyway
When I lived in California, I could count on 13-14 Cowboy games being available (this was before the Rams and Chargers came to LA).

I've lived in Arizona for 8 years now, and even though the Cardinals and Cowboys typically play around the same time, I still usually get 10-12 games without needing SundayTicket. With me needing it for 3 of the 4 weeks so far, I'm guessing that will continue, especially with how the team is performing.

Ok gents. What’s the best way to stream?

I have a fire stick. Can I use that?

If you have an Android phone, download an app called "NFL Live Streaming". The Youtube links are usually legit. You can then cast to your Fire Stick.

I get the Titans local game which means I will be at the local sports bar with all the other Cowboy fans. People are just crazy.

With the Panthers on bye, I get it too.

Haven't missed a Cowboys snap since 2015, but that streak may come to a close this weekend.

3 out of 4 weeks I've needed SundayTicket for the Cowboys game. I've gone whole seasons where I didn't need it for 3 games.

Cowboys aren't the big draw anymore. Maybe Jerry will pay attention.
I got rid of Sunday Ticket and I've gotten every game locally so far.

In theory, that's the way it is supposed to work but there's frequently a lengthy delay before they flip the switch .

There's around 220 local markets and the switching is done manually. It's also supposed to be done if the local affiliate switches a blow out to a different game.
