1. Garrett simply made the wrong decision. This one isn't really opinion or about debate. All facts point to you going for it there. Including the actual 3rd down play which was a weird set up play. (((Beasley was a HS stud QB and that set up could be cool on a throw back to Dak))) But the Texans were easily eating up middle of the field ground only to falter in the red zone all day. Trying to somehow protect 20 yards in the middle of the field was always goofy. The kick was super long so you probably had to go for it. --Personally I would have run a power sweep with Dak. --See Carolina game.

2. QB Dreamin? Uh, ok. Sure let's blame the guy making 500K. He is getting zero help. The most expensive OL in football history was whipped an awful lot. The WR corps which was supposed to improve because Dez wasn't chirping at anyone has the lowest average separation yards in the league, breaks zero tackles and chest catches everything not thrown to Beasley. I'm loyal to winning over players but you can't draft an R1 QB and give him this WR corps. Gross.

3. CWill holding call was about as weak a holding call as I have seen. And it was brutal. 25 yard swing and put Dallas behind chains ensuring a punt. Not the refs fault we can;t make 20 yards in 3 plays but that call was the ONLY holding call of the night. No one held Lawrence or Clowney to Watt on a pass block but that was a hold?
Ummm OK.....

4. Jaylon Smith is by far my favorite Cowboy. A lot of folks were adamant he would never be any good and I;d really just like to see those folks mature into an adult by admitting the obvious. That hot on Watson to preserve the 4th down hold was the best LB play I've seen in a long time. Yes, even better than what Sean Lee does. JS isn't just some honorary member of the Hot Boys either. He is a solid pass rusher.

5. Run game lessons. The entire NFL believes you must pass the football to win games. DAllas is the sole team who believes otherwise. This is an organizational direction the likes of which built the Browns of the last decade. Passing efficiency is the key stat, not yards and not anything rushing related.

6. Dak may well be having his best season. He has had more on the money throws down the field than in other seasons that's for sure. His 4INT look bad but they all hit Receivers first. Doesn't mean they were great throws or that he is blameless but this wasn't Eli throwing to a DB and hitting him in the chest.

7. Offensive game plan. I'm still waiting to see WR pick plays and regular use of Dak as a runner. Once again when we run Dak we score. We don't score much so it is one heck of a coincidence.

8. Can we trade Sean Lee? I'd really be interested in a swap of Sean Lee for a WR. Possible Targets LaQuon Treadwell. Golden Tate.

9. I mentioned bringing back Dez last week and the team seems ot disagree. Then again the team decided to punt on 4th and 1.5 from the other teams 40.... Front offices aren't ALWAYS smarter than fan bases.

10. Hope you guys like Soccer because next week might end 2-0. I might be tempted to just run the veer option.

Agree with most of what you posted. I want to add one more thing and that has to do with play action pass.
With the opposing defenses solely focused on Zeke, I don't know why we don't use it as much as we should.
We were bottom third of the teams when it came to PA last year and I'm sure we are close to that again this year.

Rams are the top team that uses PA pass. This makes sense since they have a top RB also. We should be right there with them when it comes to using PA pass with defenses solely focusing on Zeke.

We need an elite qb to run this offense. Dak is still learning, has average receivers at best, for him to have a chance at being a franchise which we need a new system and a legit threat at WR

He has already exceeded the expectations of most.

I have always said he would be pretty good.

I may have underestimated how good he may turn out to be.

An elite QB would be heinously wasted in this offense.
We do not have WRs making plays and the blocking has been inconsistent at best.
Look at how mortal Aaron Rodgers is looking right now dealing with the same issues.

I don't think people realize just how awful this receiving corps is.
DAL cut Thompson before the season started and no one signed him.
Austin wasn't playing for the Rams at all and was handed to us for essentially nothing.
We likely have one true NFL WR in Beasley and one developmental in Gallup.

All of the current Receivers except Gallup have been in the league for Years ! you dont make an NFL roster being "awful"

When your QB blows chunks, then of course anyone can appear " Awful"

Quit apologizing for Nasty *** Dak

Dak may well be having his best season?

Wut?

jt picked the wrong season to come out swinging defending Garrett and the FO calling out other posters

Backtracking is a mother
Gotta hang on to any straws you can find
