PFW power rankings

1. Dallas Cowboys
Rookie Felix only the third-highest-paid Jones in Dallas, but he’s a keeper.

2. New England Patriots
O-line might be their Achilles’ heel. Anything that doesn’t protect Brady is bad.

3. San Diego Chargers
Shawne Merriman injury could be difference between great and very good.

4. Indianapolis Colts
Manning injury underscores the scores of injuries the team already has suffered.

5. Minnesota Vikings
One man could make this team great — Tarvaris Jackson, not Jared Allen.

Sorry Deadskins can't even rank in the top half of the league. :lmao:

Really not a fan of all this hype we're getting... too many times the heavy favorites always falter... hopefully we can be an exception.

Wow

I guess Tarvaris Jackson is a better QB than Rogers......

I don't take these rankings seriously its not college football.

Minny @ #5? Uhhhh....no..

With Jackson as their QB no less. I guess they expect them to win running the ball and defense. That used to be all you needed, but the last few years have shown, if you can't throw it; you go home.

So the Weekly World News of Sports Publications is picking Dallas. Congrats.

Any word on who signed Bat Boy? :D

EDIT: I took it for PFT...my bad...although they did pick the Bungles as 17th...

If you only want to hear negative things about the boys you should either go back to extremeskins or only read cowboysrock posts.

Minnesota is so overrated. They add Jared Allen and suddenly the experts predict their defense is going to go from 32nd in the league vs the pass to dominate. Pretty funny in my opinion. They are a 10 win team at max.

Last year New England's O-line were moneters. Now they are a liability? Did they lose someone that I am unaware of?

They added one of the best DE's to their roster. It will benefit them in a lot of ways.

It speaks volumes regarding the strength of the teams in the NFL when you have a T. Jackson led Viking team ranked in the top 5.......shut down their running game - they're shut down - period.

I don't know. Just shows how fickle the media can really be. Their O-Line was extremely solid last year and then they get a little exposed against the Giants pass rush in the super bowl... and suddenly they're a leaky line?

Gimme a break.

The Commanders at 22, lol, the suck

I have a serious feeling that the Commanders are in for a long, long season.

Zorn? Really?

Doesn't hurt that they play in a cupcake division right now.

Green Bay is minus Favre and not far removed from being a 6 win team.

Chicago looks awful this pre-season after a weak season last year.

Minny was the best running team in the league and best against the run last year. That used to mean super Bowl Champ, now it means ranked 5th overall....

lol, no doubt!!!

they really have been trying to hang on forever to some last hope of not sucking but they really just need to give up the ghost and re-build. trying to re-build on the fly has not come close to working for them.

i'll be shocked if they reach 7 wins.

I think the Colts and Pats are better than us at this time.
