Weekend games and our draft status

Ok, I am bored. So a look at this weekends games and how our draft status may be effected.
Overall they mostly don't effect much right now. But looking at it as if we win.

First if we lose one, win one, about the worse we pick is 10th or 11th, strictly form the records.
Going into the games, if we win out the worse based on record not SOS, we would pick 18th.
Oakland won, giving them 7 wins, so now that is at 17. But kept SD at 4 wins too.

SF, 4-Detroit, 5, pull for SF to have both at 5 wins, or Detroit to give them 6, and SOS comes into play
Cleveland-KC, most likely Browns stay at 3 wins
Indy, 6-Miami, 5, would think Dolphins win here to get them to 6 also, but colts win, that moves us to 16th at worse. Plus I do not want Texans to win the division.
Giants-Vikings, a win by the Giants gives them 7, moves us up, but I do not want GB winning that division either
Jaguars, 5, Saints, 5, either way it is 6 wins and another possible SOS deal, but I want Jax to win here, and Texans lose, they are within 1 game of winning the division at 7-9.
Chicago, 5 - TB, 6, another one of these, Bears to put both at 6 wins, and 2 more SOS deals, or TB to 7 wins, moving us up higher if we win out.
Texans - Titans, need Titans to win this one to give them 4 losses, in case we lose out
Rams, 6 - Seahawks, need the Rams to pull this one out, puts them at 7 wins
Steelers-Ravens, need Ravens obviously to give them 5 wins, and hurts Steelers for a playoff spot

Of course best thing for the draft is we lose keeping us at 4 wins, then we will be in top 11 at worst.

Week 17 games Bears and Lions play, so that would move us up a slot. Rams and 49ers play, but that depends on this weeks games, but adds a win to each of them.

Right, and I can live with that. I don't care if we have the 1st overall, but if we are in the top 6, we can still do very good.
Of course if we were to be higher, then the better. But even if we win a game, and are around 7 to 10, that is not horrible either. I just don't want to be 6-10, and pick 16th. SOS may keep us around 12 to 14 though.

But I don't get the fervor over a super high draft pick. Sure it'd be great to pick high in the 1st round, but remember, regardless of draft position, this team has recently done well picking in the 1st... it's been the 2nd-5th round picks that have been iffy.

Of course, draft position doesn't really matter if they draft poorly and/or can't develop the players they do draft.

Its like the playoffs and the seeding.

It doesn't really matter..to win you have beat the best period.

And to get the top draft pick..you do just the opposite.

You lose.

I"m figuring with Moore that insures the 2 losses and we see. 4th string QBs rarely make any impact.

So let wait and see.

At least 2 of the current 5 win teams will finish with at least 6 wins. Jags play the Saints this week and the Lions play the Bears next week.

A 5 win team will pick no worse than 9th.

but at Jerrah's admission he wanted a backup last year and got out voted.

And we obviously missed taking Manziel.

Based on what happened during the season..

I doubt that is going to happen again.

Jerrah will get his QB.

Either in the draft or via a trade or FA signing..

somebody is going to ride in to town to get his shot at replacing Romo.

I think lots of option exist and we have the ability to pursue whatever we want.

Kapernick, RG3, Manziel and several other options maybe available if they want a vet.

I think whether we are 1st pick or 5th pick..

its going to be a windfall for us.
