I know this was a suprise pick but I like this guy. Demarco much like Bruce Carter at one point was a projected 1st round pick before a knee injury. Demarco is a homerun threat everytime he touches the ball and was considered one of the drafts sleepers and can be considered a steal in the third if healthy. With comparisons to Adrian Peterson and Darren Mcfadden, this guy is an elite athlete, great vision and speed running a 4.37 , ran a 4.41 at the combine. He runs a bit high and needs to get a little lower to survive in NFL.

The biggest thing is he has 63 college Td's, he has a nose for the endzone! This guy is a redzone stud! This is a huge area of concern. Yes we need an o-line to make this work and we spent a first rounder on one and believe we will pick up at least two more in the next 3-4 rounds. For now let's welcome Demarco Murray and go find us a couple guards and a safety.

and i think he had something like 71 receptions last year. not sure i heard that right though. that seems absurd for a rb.

Are we the only team in the NFL who takes "projected first round players" in every round of the draft?

So far we picked up a "top 15 player" in the 2nd round, and a "projected first round player" in the 3rd round.

We must be geniuses !!!

You did not read wrong. He is excellent coming out off the backfired and has great breakaway speed. Being Sooner fan I have seen him play plenty. And I believe this kid makes a difference immediately.

Murray will get injured in training camp...waste of a pick. Another china doll

:laugh2: I posted the same thing after the second round pick.

I'm trying to calm down, look at the big picture and trust these guys know more than I. Not just about the college players were all focused on today, but about the roster as it stands going into this draft and where we really need to improve...........

With all that said, I HATE THIS PICK AS MUCH AS ANY I CAN REMEMBER.

I hate it so much I think for the first time since I started following the team I may actively root against a player.

I'm so bitter about this pick, I just want it to fail. Perhaps medication could help.

I don't like it either, but that's a bit extreme. I'd rather be wrong and happy than right and miserable.

You know, it has nothing to do with being right. I never go that way.

I just can't stand this pick!

We need more OL in a big way. I had a vision of perhaps bringing in 3 or more OL to compete and add to our depth.

the draft isn't over yet.

we still have 5 more picks to go.

Like most every Cowboy pick that I disagree with, it starts to grow on me.

This one has very quickly. I really want him to overcome his technical flaws and injury concerns. If he does, watch out. This could be a huge steal.
