Welcome To My Nightmare...I Think You're Gonna Like It

A long time ago I had a dream of playing for the Dallas Cowboys. Like the song said, "I was Roger Staubach in my back yard..." Well, for me that extended to the street where as the biggest kid in the neighborhood I had to be all time Quarterback or no one wanted to play. One of the other teams was always the Eagles and the other was the Commanders. That way the Cowboys always beat one of them in my imagination.

We do belong.

  , by the way I am in the exact same situation for this game, Great post Hos.

 ******, Hos, that almost brought a tear to my eye! I've never read your story about your grandmother before.... thanx for sharing! You're right, btw, I do like your nightmare!!!

Awesome post Hostile, simply awesome. Your grandmother sounds like she was a great lady, and a lot of fun to watch games with.

My elderly mom and I watch the Cowboy games together, and even though she has a difficult time standing up anymore, she will leap off of the couch like a kid, pump her fist when the Cowboys score a touchdown, and she curses like a sailor when someone hits one of her boys. Last week, I asked her how she felt about the Egirls, and she looked at me in disgust and yelled, "**** the Eagles!!!!" She also said she hopes McNabb gets hemorrhoids. Gotta love her. :D

Hos as I was reading that article I was coincidently listening to Bon Jovi's Dead or Alive....chills my man....chills!!! GO BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for giving us a peek at something very personal to you. Your story would make Blackie proud methinks.

If ever a post neede a bump this is it. For those of you who may have missed this. Enjou

As usual, a good story! Thanks for the sharing....

I would like the Cowboys to deliver a little pain along the way. I can't think of a more deserving fanbase than Eagles fans. Last week was just an appetizer. Get ready for the main course.
Oh hell yeah. It's like...from my mind to your keyboard. That's exactly what I've been thinking.

Hostile, you are a good writer. Better than good. Excellent.

:)

Thank you all. After I posted that I had to run and pick up some checks for some work I did. I didn't expect such a nice reaction. I appreciate the comments one and all.

Great read Hos. Your parting words caused this song to play in my head. I recall you once saying you had met Pat before.

I love that song. I did get to meet her. Man was she ever tiny and hawt!!!! She oozed sex appeal. Of course, I was 16 at the time and you know how 16 year old boys are. She was nice beyond words. Her best friend had married the father of one of our best friends. We went to Jason's house one day to swim, jump on the trampolines and ride motorcycles and she was there visiting. I still remember her sitting on the fireplace stoop with a guitar and playing it while she sang "Wuthering Heights." To this day that song gives me chills.
