still, AZ is a semi-good team

St. Louis is awful

what pisses me off the most is that it was our 1st game w/o Romo and we laid down

No doubt AZ is much better than the Rams. The point is that one or two plays didn't make the difference in the Rams game. You change one or two plays in the AZ game and we win outright and Romo never gets hurt and we're likely sitting at 10-2 right now.

You also have to remember the team didn't have much of an identity then-they were still eating the cheese from all their preseason Super Bowl press clippings, Brian Stewart was calling the plays, no leaders were stepping up, etc.

It was that and after the Rams game when this team just all of a sudden WOKE UP! They played with heart and a sense of urgency, Wade started calling the plays, leaders like Bradie James stepped up big time, etc.

Pt being that you just can't pinpoint even 1-2 plays on ONE game and say..."That was THE difference!", b/c there are MANY variables throughout the course of the season. Heck-we win that game, we prolly continue to go up, down, and eating the cheese and being complacent, and subsequently stink it up in Dec.

I guess I'm just pissed at how poorly we played in a very winnable game

you can expect losses to ok teams, but not get blown out by the Rams

Cowboys can't catch a break.

Seems all the teams the cowboys need to lose have cupcake schedules from here on out, while the cowboys have the hardest schedule in the NFL (last 4 games).

IMO if we go 10-6 we won't be in the playoffs cuz one of those other teams that are "ahead" of us (eventhough we're tied) will easily go 10-6 with their easy schedules.

Doesn't matter-if we stink it up in Dec, again, they have noone to blame but themselves.

Heck-last year we had a CAKE schedule in Dec, but got our ***** kicked nonetheless.

That loss to St. Louis was huge.. Dallas should have beat Arizona as well.

Well-IF we had beaten St. Louis, Brian Stewart would STILL be calling the plays.

Would you have been pleased with that?:laugh2:

I know. I'm just saying if we could get one game back I'd take that AZ game.

Of course we lost that one because we were playing uninspired ball with many players thinking they could just show up and win. Just like the first meeting vs. Washington and even our lackluster effort letting Cincy come back against us.

If we had won the AZ and not had Romo's injury then the team may have stayed in the mode of thinking they could just show up and win and it might have cost us down the stretch. Right now I think we have a stronger and more focused team but because of that loss to AZ and StL. we may end up coming up a game short at the end.

Like I said above-look on the bright side, IF Romo had stayed healthy, we may have won a couple more games, BUT Brian Stewart would still be calling the plays.

Hey-now, everything's turning out for THE BEST for us!

Let's just hope it means something in 4 weeks. I'd hate to be one of the best teams in the league to be sitting at home watching the playoffs.

.

Ultimately if we could get one play back, alot of things would be different.

That 3rd and 18 screen pass where they were basically setting up a punt killed us. They scored a TD on that drive. Had they not scored on that drive, we'd have probably won the game in regulation. Romo and McBriar never get hurt. We probably dont lose at St Louis with Romo at QB either.

We'd be sitting at 9-2 and it good shape to make the playoffs and possibly even win the division.

If we could have one play back I'd take that onside kick that Sam Hurd had and dropped vs the Skins the first time. A division loss turning into a win would help us more then jsut a conference loss turning into a win.

Hurd catches that ball and we win that game, IMO.

Folk also missed an easy FG before the half-otherwise, prior to that 3rd and 17 play, it would have been 17-7 instead, and the personality of that game would have been WAY different. But there were MANY plays that costed us.

Like I said, Brian Stewart would likely still be calling the plays if we're 9-2. So I guess all's better now.

Let's move on. Prognosticating over what took place in Zona and St. Louis won't do us any good.

We need to go out the next 4 games and put it all on the line.

I'm sitting here thinking 12-4 and you guys are worried about 10-6 and not being in the playoffs. This team is better than any team in the league. Yes we are better than the Giants. There is no need for them to lose anymore games this year. If they don't win then they likely aren't good enough to be SB contenders. Nows the time to show everyone how tough and good you are. I'd rather play good teams and roll into the playoffs with mo.
