Well, here you go Hostile

Yeah, I heard this earlier today. Not really on board with this at all. In fact he is way down the list of guys I would have wanted.

His wife...

Yes that is really his wife and no it is not photoshopped.

You don't have to WV. I am not happy about this at all. I already e-mailed the AD and told him he just fired himself with this hire.

Rich Rod is a good coach for the PAC 10, IMO, but I think it's going to kind of be much of the same for Arizona. They're going to have a potent offense, but no D.

I don't agree with your first point at all. This is a passing Conference. If I were a QB with NFL aspirations I'd scratch UA off my list.

Not necessarily, look at Oregon.

It will certainly hurt them as far as getting NFL caliber players at QB or WR, but that offense can work in the PAC 12.

I just disagree. I do not want a guy who the NCAA will be watching like a hawk.

I think Greg Byrne blew it huge.

Not unless he fires Rodriguez first after he runs the program into the ground.

I loved the idea of Chris Peterson, but I wanted Paul Chryst. I'd have accepted Mike Leach.

Hell, I'd rather have kept Mike Stoops.

I do not like this hire at all.

Wow, look at Arizona's basketball program A year or two to transition, following Lute, with Kevin O’Neill; hire Sean Miller for the big picture. Now, a couple of top-six recruiting classes later, some quality coaching, and they’re back in business.

Note the common elements in this: looking at the big picture; being unwilling to settle for so-so programs; being unafraid to change coaches, being willing to spend more for excellence.

When you focus on the big picture as your ultimate goal, and you commit your institution to achieving that goal, you can accomplish an amazing amount in a short time. And, it’s not like UA had to come up with Fort Knox money to put their program right back as a, perhaps the, top contender in the Pac-12.

Why do I have no faith whatsoever that UCLA has this kind of leadership? I’d say “Sigh,” but it’s more like teeth-gnashing, wall-punching, out-loud-cursing frustration. Neu should have been fired after the Arizona game Meanwhile, Arizona has been proactive and has hired a guy who I think, potentially, could do really well in Tucson.

Similar situatuion for RichRod that he had in West Virginia, and in Matt Scott they already have a dual threat QB to run his system next year. RichRod never got a fair shake at Michigan, he was not a Michigan man and was set up to fail at the start. It did not help he tried to fit his spread offense into a pro style team even though he did not have the parts.

He was making clear progress at Michigan and I believe they would have been better then Hoke has them this year. I was hoping UCLA was going to have a crack at him at least for an interview. He needs to scrap that junky 3-3-5 defense though it sealed his fate at Michigan.

Not to worry. Rich is already looking forward to the team who will hire him after the team who hires him after Arizona.

Total bag of ******.

Oregon has dominated the Pac-10 over the past two seasons running essentially the same offense Rodriguez will run. The Pac-12 is a SPEED conference, and his teams always play fast. He didnt work out in the Big 10 because that conference plays slow, powerful trench football.

I think he'll have some success once he gets the players to fit his system. It's just a matter of the fanbase getting over the fact that he is a miserable human being who would sell out his own mother for a job.

He is a POS who I one day hope to see behind bars. And I doubt a top DC will want anything to do with him; so his D will suck.

We're not Oregon, and I don't think they have dominated at all. USC has, and just beat them in fact. I don't deny that Oregon is good. I am willing to bet right now that we do not reach their level.

4 NCAA violations at Michigan. I don't want that scrutiny. I wish UCLA had been proactive.

I'm going to the game on Saturday. If they introduce him there, as I suspect they will, I will boo.

This hire is now Official.

Not too jazzed about this.

I know he doesn't play the traditional type football that we all like, but he IS a proven coach...
