It is training camp week, so it's time to dust off this board!!!
I'm back!
It's been a long offseason without you, CZ!!! I mean, I know it's always here, but I get bored with typical offseason banter.
here are my quick bursts of thought at the moment....
So, it was busy for our boys. Adam Jones....I'm excited for the player...not psyched about the man. I hope he stays clean. Everyone likes a good turnaround story.
Zach Thomas...I'm not psyched about this move either. I think we have plenty of vets, so forget the leadership angle. and LB was not where we needed to add a new face. I'd rather see Bobby C, myself. But what do I know? We shall see. I hope he proves me wrong.
The draft was kinda dull, but Felix Jones is an exciting pick. I was sad to see Julius go, but I wish him the best.
Roy Williams switching to 38? I think he should buy me a new jersey. Maybe a new number will make him learn how to cover someone.
Receiver....I'm interested to see if Amendola can crack the roster. It's probably a long shot. Glenn...who knows....I think his best days are behind him, personally. And did the young kids get any better? Can Crayton shake off the ghosts of a horrible playoff game? I sure hope so. T.O. is this years "if he gets injured, we are screwed" player.
Romo....I'm sure he will dazzle, but will he finally win a playoff game?
Training Camp moving out of san antonio for the year....a bummer, but it was pretty apparent this was going to happen when they made the deal. I'm very much looking forward to its return in '09.
And FINALLY....our house is closing down. The Farewell season at Texas Stadium. If all goes well, I will get there for the Commanders game (a MUST see event....the last boys/skins game at TS) and one other game. If we go belly up this year, i'll pay for the final game. (baltimore? come on NFL....you could have done better) but otherwise....i'm saving my money for the REAL last game....in the playoffs.
It will certainly be an emotional year, no matter what. I will be sad to see her go......but the new digs sure look fantastic!
