We'll need to beat the refs; they will favor Philly

You heard it here first. I honestly believe that the refs will favor Philly this week, especially if the Eagles take cheap shots at T.O. and no personal fouls will be called. I also think that Dallas is the superior team and we'll need ot beat Philly and the refs to prove that. We'll need ot be at the top of our game, but it's doable.

Go back and look at the Commanders game...they let the skins get away with several late hits on Owens.

The did finally call one...guess 1 out 6 aint bad LOL

The only reason they called that one was because it was Sean Taylor and his reputation precedes him

I have to agree. The officiating has been weak so far and I only expect it to get worse. Lots of no calls last week against Pacman and TO (facemask and holding on TD pass).'

That being said, you can't control it and only hope that we dominate and don't let them have a chance to decide. I'm fired up just thinking about the game right now :)

I dont buy that. We have a coach IMO who understands how to stop a west coast offense better than any other. He understands it and knows how to take things away.

We have the talent to match that intelligence and it showed last year. The eagles made no big plays on us, I believe they will hit a big play or two this week but I dont think it will be one of those walk in the park TDs the niners and packers have been giving up.

I dont think the officials will have anything to do with this game unless there are personal fouls from all the emotions, I heard the marcus spears show tonight with Jason ferguson and they pretty much dislike the eagles players. Ferguson made reference to last year when they scored and mcnabb was dancing and all the players were talking trash and celebrating from one measly touchdown.

That speaks volumes to me. The eagles have a depth problem I believe and if we just make them drive the length of the field and do the same to them on offense, I think we can wear them out. They have not played a 60 minute game yet this year.

I really believe this is going to be an outstanding game and you have to favor the eagles right now because of the emotion and mcnabb knows whats on the line here, he cant lose. The city will turn on him if he has a poor game.

Aikman said tonight on the marcus spears show that fox has doubled their security for the pregame show for jimmy johnson and in the booth for aikman because of the eagles fans and how they are treated, aikman said he still gets the same crap as he did when he plays...

anyway, back to my original point I think we have the best coach versus the west coast offense and I believe our defense is built to stop the west coast offense. The giants in the 80s were the only team to ever really give the niners trouble almost every time they played, steve young always claimed it was because the linebackers always held the tight ends and wr, but in reality it is because of the knowledge of the scheme and the defensive personnel to counter it.

Game on.

And if Stallworth cant play or hurts himself worse, game over. Same goes for Westbrook. They become 1 dimensional if either arent playing.

IT seems like that on paper, but mcnabb is good enough to overcome any injuries.

The only guy they need sunday healthy is Mcnabb. We have to make him throw before he wants and keep throwing underneath.

I think we're the superior team. We beat them last year with T.O. on their team. Now he's on ours and he's got motivation. Of course, Philly has motivation too now that he's on ours. Although Philly is solid on the line, the loss of Kearse hurts. Their safety is great, but the rest of their secondary doesn't really scare me. If our O-line blocks semi-decently, I think we have a great chance of shutting the Philly fans up. Of course, none of this could translate on the field - that's why they play the games. But, I think we've got a great shot at beating them in their house.

I hope the refs don't make calls with home field bias. Just call the game fairly - that's what it should it be about.

But if one of those guys arent 100% we might not have to rely on an extra guy in coverage and blitz another person to force McChoke into another RW GW interception.

hahaha

You guys are rediculous. When the Eagles had Owens and would get hit, you would cheer and get happy about it. Now that he's on the Cowboys, you can't take your boy getting hit.

It's Football( a physical sport...as if you didn't know )

If Dawkins lays T.O. out, don't cry about it.

Just to let you know, I dont think TO or any poster on this board is scurred that Dawkins might lay him out. You should be worried about McNabb/Westbrook/Stallworth getting cramped up or worse, getting laid out by Roy.

maby you need to learn english comprehension...where does it say anywhere in this entire thread we are getting scared of him getting hit...LATE HITS are the topic...read brotha...read.

a late hit is a late hit... He gets jacked up plenty and it doesn't bother me in the least...hell the guy broke his finger and most of us didn't really care, but blatent late hits are hard to ignore.

Go back and watch the washington game and see how the refs were letting T.O. (only) take a few late pops shots without throwing the yellow rag. I know you wont and trying to reason with a Philly fan is like punching myself in the balls over and over...

so I leave this thread with this thought...my avatar!

well, the refs have nailed TO with an early penalty in each of the games and seem to be paying him(and not the defender) a lot of attention. He seems to be getting the "anti-Jordan" treatment wherever he goes.

The only way we lose is if we blow assignments like Green Bay.
The only reason the Eagles broke loose was because of just that.
Anyone who saw the replays can see there were huge missed assignments that opened up the game. This is why the guys was cut. I do not see that happening to us on Sunday.

Oh... and freak'n penalties on every big play won't help either.
Especially when that penalty didn't make a difference in the play other than having it called back.

I would like to see a little more of an open offense though.
We have TO, Glenn, Witten, Crayton, Barber, etc... to catch.

Some of our screens need a longer delay because teams pick it up too soon.
