Anyone who knows me understands that I am Julius Jones' biggest backer. But something is not right with him, and hasn't been since his rookie season & the Panthers game last year. He runs differently. He's no longer the explosive improvisationalist he once was, and honestly, I assign it to the coaching. Or at least, his interpretation of the coaching. He's gone overboard with the "following-the-play" idiom, and no longer changes direction and busts out of the defense's lanes. I don't know why. It makes me sad. But...

I'm all for the Cowboys targeting and acquiring RB Adrian Peterson from Oklahoma...

I love you, Julius. But my patience has worn thin. I'm done waiting. Adrian, step in....

I love watching Adrian Peterson.... but there's NO WAY we are going to get him and we sure as hell don't NEED HIM.

We've got Julius who happens to be among the leaders in the NFL in rushing and you're wanting to replace him?

HE is doing what BP wants him to do. If he didn't, he would be gone or sitting. That is the way it is.

Wait, if Julius Jones was great until the coaches got to him, wouldn't the same happen to Adrian Peterson?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh great sarcasm hehe!

i have to agree, julius used to break some long runs, make people miss, looked exciting when he ran. now he's totally average. yeah, he is solid, doing what he's told, but 5 yards is a long run for him now.

I call on Adam to tell us how many runs of 7+ he had today. I can think of two.

The RB situation in Dallas right now I think is relatively simple...If it ain't broke, dont fix it.

Julius Jones
1-10-DAL41(5:06) J.Jones right end to ARZ 48 for 11 yards (A.Francisco, R.Griffith).
1-10-ARI18(2:01) J.Jones up the middle to ARZ 10 for 8 yards (G.Hayes).
3-5-ARI40(1:03) J.Jones left end to ARZ 32 for 8 yards (K.Dansby).

Marion Barber
2-21-DAL9(2:10) M.Barber right end to DAL 21 for 12 yards (K.Dansby).
3-32-DAL26(10:17) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass short left to M.Barber to DAL 34 for 8 yards (R.Griffith).
1-10-ARI18:)51) M.Barber up the middle to ARZ 10 for 8 yards (K.Dansby).
2-3-ARI38(6:33) M.Barber up the middle to ARZ 27 for 11 yards (R.Griffith).
2-19-ARI36(5:19) (Shotgun) M.Barber up the middle to ARZ 27 for 9 yards (G.Hayes).

Notice that 3 of Barbers came in VERY LONG yardage situations where a draw would have gained quite a few yards easily.

no im his biggest backer look at my name.................

that said he has the numbers of a top 10 back in this league.....leave him alone besides he has those numbers as a part of a two back system.

2-21-DAL9(2:10) M.Barber right end to DAL 21 for 12 yards (K.Dansby).
3-32-DAL26(10:17) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass short left to M.Barber to DAL 34 for 8 yards (R.Griffith).

I say dont worry about those because they were give up calls and Arizona was in pure pass defense.

Without those two each had 3carries of over 7 yards if im not mistaken...

How do we know JJ wouldn't have much bigger games if he didn't have to split the carries?

I'd love to have JJ get some of those 3rd & 25 draw play yards. That'd do well for my fantasy leagues.

I am not really sure what more we want out of J.J.

I mean he is keeping defenses honest, they have to account for him. He is a home run threat everytime he touches the ball.

We have two above average running backs we should just be happy with and we are throwing up numbers on offense this year we havn't seen in a VERY LONG TIME.

You're right on that. The bottom line is that we should be VERY HAPPY with the Running Back production that we are getting. We've got an OUTSTANDING RB DUO and it shows by the fact that we're #5 in rushing offense in the league.

Look at our offense... 12 Rushing TD's and 13 Passing TD's. #5 rushing and #8 Passing yardage wise... ya can't ask for much better and more balanced than that.

The idea that Jones would be better if he didnt have to split carries is moronic. The guy is obviously done by about his 22 carry. There is a reason that Barber comes in and looks like twice the player in the 4th quarter, it is because Jones is done by that time.

Sure he can run 32 times, but his last 10 carries will give you a 3 yard average.

Jones does run better when he gets more carries then 12-15, but watching him run at the end of the game is painful, while in the begining it is exciting.

I believe that JJ has not been the same since his shoulder injury and you know that. He used to lower his shoulder break tackles and gain those extra yards. I hardly see that now, maybe he is worried to get hurt.

Don't get me wrong I think he is great and I think we should stick with him, but he just aint the same as before. His numbers could prove me wrong though.
