Games of this magnitude come around very seldom.
If the Cowboys should find a way to beat the Patriots, they will likely win out the rest of their regular season schedule, go deep in the playoffs, and Jason Garrett will secure a lengthy extension. Jerry will feel justified in his desire to keep Garrett and feel as if his plan is paying off.
But if the Cowboys lose, the reality of their mediocrity will continue to set in.
I think the Cowboys will win the East; there's not really a competition there. But if they somehow manage to beat the Patriots in Foxboro I think they finish 12-4 and make it to the NFC Championship game.
For the Patriots, a loss could signal the end of the Tom Brady era.
I think the Cowboys lose big, but there is a lot riding on this game.

GO COWBOYS
No, games “of this magnitude” are not that rare - key games against strong opponents happen every year. And no, whether we win or lose does not determine whether we win out and go deep in the playoffs or not, and is not the moment in his long career that will determine Brady’s future.
