Well we were married 25 years ago today..

just wanted to share....it's getting kind of rare these days for people to last that many years...

Both our parents are married 46 and 47 years respectively.

Congratulations to you and your bride, too, Red. Your first year is very special and exciting, learning to know each other in a whole new way--like toothpaste and toilet seat issues, lol. But seriously, congratulations on the embarkment of your unity and your life together. May it be a good and long life filled with memories and silliness and growing love and wisdom. And maybe a house full of kids if that's what yall desire.

edited to add: I meant to say also that both Lane and I came from parents who stayed married until they were separated by death. An awesome accomplishment. That helps in keeping your own marriage together I believe. Not always of course, but it is a great starting ground.

Happy Anniversary to both of you! .. and you are right, in this day and age that is rare! (how sad is that?)

But I'm glad and happy for you both! That's awesome.

Let me tell you that it just keeps getting better and better, .. those that get divorced never get to find that out.

Mrs. WV Cowboy and I have been together 43 years, .. married for 39 of them. She was 16 and I was 17 when we first starting dating. Wouldn't trade her for anything.

Here's hoping that you enjoy many many more years together.
