My friend had an extra ticket so I figured I'd check out the new stadium. It's nice, but nothing special. Tomlinson looked pretty good. Neither team looked great, but it's preseason so whatever. The reason I'm posting is because I'm just baffled by the amount of McNabb jerseys I saw. I saw a Riggins and a Monk jersey, but numerous McNabb jerseys?! What is that? What kind of Skins fan would buy that? It's like the idiot Vikings fans that hated Favre for years and then buy his jersey when he joins them. I understand pulling for the guy since he's now on your team, but to buy his jersey? Beyond lame. What was even lamer was the Commanders fans trash talking to the Jets fans after the game. It's preseason you moron!

Personally, I only get the jerseys of players that were Cowboys from the start. As much as I may have liked Haley, I would not get his jersey. I have Irvin, Aikman, Woodson, Witten and Ware. If Justin Tuck became a Cowboy, I would root for him, but NEVER purchase his jersey.

How weak are Commanders fans?

Man, the hating material must be getting thin around these parts. Mcnabb is the quarterback of the Commanders now. He's had a successful career thus far. Is it unreasonable that a fan who's team finally acquired a franchise-caliber quarterback would then purchase his jersey? TO was a member of the eagles before he joined your club. Did that stop all you guys from buying a TO jersey? Skins fans support members of the team, regardless of their prior allegiances. The exception would be Deion when he was here.

McNadd probably hates wearing that ugly POS jersey.
I know anyone with a shred of taste would, no doubt.

The Cowboys fans in TO gear are much worse. McNabb never desicrated the Skins field or emblem.....TO did it twice in the same game as a Niner, then our end zone as an Eagle.

I am a lifelong Spurs fan. I know hate is bad, but I hate Karl Malone like no other player. When he was rumored to join the Spurs, I was highly upset. I was ready to root against my team for however long Malone was there, just out of spite and contempt for him. I did not want to have him ride the coat tails of my Spurs to a Championship....I was so thankful when he joined the Lakers, and even moreso when the Pistons put a whoopin on em. Malone is the dirtiest, POS, SOB, scumbag to ever disgrace the hardwood. It sickens me that Stern and Thorn let him throw all those dirty elbows at the heads of his opponents, causing stiches, lost teeth, concussion, etc....as well as kick or knee his opponents when shooting. Malone sent Isaiah Thomas, one of my alltime favorite players to the hospital to get 40+ stitches after an elbow, He knocked out my favorite player David Robinson with a flagrant elbow.....when David fell to the ground, the awkwardness of the fall caused him to injure his knee. He also gave Tim Duncan a concussion with a flagrant elbow. So, I agree with the original poster, I find it so odd how some people can sell out their fanship and just turn off the hate.

BTW, I couldnt stand having Prime Time or TO in a Cowboys uniform...I rooted for the team, but not either player..... I will say this, I still get a kick out of the image of Deion from the Carolina playoff game....the one where he played WR and got lit up like a Christmas tree by like 4 Carolina defenders....What an awesome hit that was....I also got a kick out of how he got knocked the bleep out. I have warmed up to Deion since he retired. While I don't like TO, I also do not like how the media consistently villifies him......Yes he can be a drama queen, a diva, and maybe cause some discomfort amongst the team, but the media blows so much of it out of proportion......the media is far more to blame for all the TO drama, than TO.

a mature, grown up, balanced comment on CZ?

...mods - ban this guy.

This thread got me to thinking has there ever been an ex skin player who joined the cowboys and was he successful none come to mind so this maybe a question for a 50 year ( Sorry HOS) or should I say a 51 year Cowboy fan

Yeah I've seen plenty of Cowboys fans that still wear TO gear. Pretty bad.

A friend of mine has a Moss jersey from his Raider days and still wear it all the time. I don't see the big deal.

It's not about the name on the back of the jersey; it's about the name on the front of the jersey. And if some player that you hated when he was with another team came to your team, and that makes you root against him or your team, then maybe you weren't that big of a fan to begin with.

I've got a T.O. jersey. I still wear it. So what? He was successful when he was here.

I've also got a Keyshawn, Julius Jones, and Eddie George jersey though. The Eddie George one was bad because I bought that after he got cut and the jerseys were on sale. Hahaha.

Karl Malone dated a friend of mine for a while when he had finished his rookie season. Nicest guy you could ever meet. We all thought he should be rookie of the year, but he said Ewing was going to win it and should.

He told us how they were so poor he couldn't afford a basketball or hoop and his Mom would tie clothes into a bundle and then sit on the roof holding her arms in a hoop just so he could practice. He said it would kill him if he hit his Mom in the face. She would just sit there.

I used to be a Lakers fan. I was sad that he couldn't win a ring in LA.

They're Skins fans. They're hoping/expecting McFlabb to lead them to a Superbowl. Grasping at straws is what they do.

The first to come to my mind is Eddie LeBaron, our first starting QB.

I'd have to say most of them are tainted and we have avoided them like the plague. On the other hand, they scoop up our scraps.

Nate played in the USFL, I don't think he ever played for the Skins.

He went to camp and got cut in like 83 or 84 didnt he? So I just associate him with them!!
