The 2nd statement is kind of not true already. With the help from the Vikings, the Eagles basically didn't give up much for wentz

From what I saw of his limited action, Wentz appeared to be FAR from ready for the speed of the NFL game. Now he's simply had the starting job handed to him.
We'll know by the 3rd week of the season if he was ready or not. My impression is no, but that's why they play the games.

Compared to Goff, he is well ahead.
I have to admit, I am a little surprised they are rushing this. I thought for sure they would give Chase Daniel a couple of games to break him in off the injury.

Especially considering Pederson's connection to Daniel. It's the only reason he's there. I expected them to do what they did with McNabb when Pederson was the backup and we'd see Wentz sometime midseason.
Hey, we can't be surprised though. All my life I've heard he will return and sure as bleep if it isn't this Sunday.
Just as a precaution I'm getting my affairs in order. I'm not completely sure what's going to happen.

what? Dak wasn't starting if it wasn't for soft as charmin Romo getting his body one step closer to paralysis just like Wentz wasn't starting if it wasn't for Bradford being dealt for an insane haul in return.
I know the love fest with you guys over a fun preseason is off the rails with Dak but come on.

Yep, after these trades, it appears all they gave up for Wentz is a 2nd and 3rd rounder. Further, they can get a 2nd or 3rd back essentially because the conditional 4th round pick they got for Bradford can turn into a 3rd or 2nd round pick depending on how good the Vikings do.
People can hate on the Eagles all they want, but their GM has had a very good offseason.

Yep. His mechanics were reportedly off all of camp, and that's what we saw in the game, too.
Considering Daniel's relationships with Pederson, you'd think they'd do the smart thing and pocket the pick and elevate the guy who's been in the offense for years and has the existing relationship with the HC. At least we'll get to see how Wentz looks here after very little preseason and with real bullets flying. Let's hope it's a disaster.

It will be a long tough season in Philidelphia. Wentz is in for a rough ride. Couldnt happen to a better bunch.
