I haven’t read this whole thread yet so I don’t know about the rest of you guys; but I feel pretty excited about this move. I feel this is an admission of a bad decision and they’re doing something to correct. For a FO that has trouble recognizing their mistakes and if they do then they don’t correct it.

So to me this is encouraging. I would much rather not need to do this but we’re here and we did something to help us this season as opposed to putting it off for the offseason.

What I find interesting is that two former DCs/head coaches (Morningwig and this supposed unnamed head coach) have felt the need to throw shade toward Parker.

It seems that Pettine might be a good influence on Parker as long as they can work favorably with one another. There's apparently another question to be answered as to whether or not the team will be any better off if Schotty persists in making the mistakes that he has thus far. We'll see about that in the days to come. It takes both offense and defense to combine successfully. It'll surely take time.

If Schotty persists in being a problem for the team as a whole, it would seem somewhat doubtful that the team as a whole could prosper, despite Pettine's presence. Let's see how well things work for the team as a whole to succeed as a capable entity. Lots of issues are due to be resolved. Be patient.

I love the way people here said it takes time to implement a new defensive philosophy but also believe MP is just going to walk in and fix this mess in a week or 2.
