Werder with another shot at Jerry

LOL Imagine all the analytics Garrett has learned in his time off at NBC.
Tape studied, Italian subs eaten. New catch phrases.

I am not going to defend Jerry Jones, but who declared Ben Johnson the top HC candidate? He is definitely not my first choice. Of course I would have talked to him, but it seems like he may have already had his preference.

I get it. Jerry wants someone he can control, not someone who will steal his spotlight, or someone he would have to share credit with. But I think some folks are making a much bigger deal over Ben Johnson that it warrants just because we are talking about Jerry.

Ed Werder..

So and idiot is trying to gain clicks for his a-social media account by critizising other idiots?

And it seems to work. People are reading that crap.

Note to myself: Nice business idea.

Do people not understand that just like with players it's almost always about the money with HCs? I'm sure if Jerry offered more than this insane amount ($13M per) Johnson would be here. For whatever reason Jerry didn't pursue him. To me that means Jerry decided long ago Moore is the next coach and Witten will be an assistant. In Jerry's world this makes sense and so it shall be.

I can so vividly recall early in covering the #Cowboys that Jerry Jones saying the status of the franchise is such Dallas can always have the best there is in coaching. Yet the franchise needs a replacement for Mike McCarthy and the top candidate on virtually every list - Lions OC Ben Johnson - is never interviewed or requested as far as we know.

That is because the number one consideration for Jerry seems to be the comfort level with the HC and not that HC's football/coaching ability.
