Were any of those long passes on Newman's side?

I haven't broken down the game yet, but I'm pretty certain Newman didn't allow a catch today.

He almost gave up a 40+ yarder to Hank Baskett, but luckly he dropped it. I think thats the only pass they threw his way

He didnt, Baskett almost got him deep but it was an awesome throw and only a good throw would have got it. Other than that, he wasnt even tested, meaning he locked his guys down.

The only time I saw Newman today was when Baskett was running 2 or 3 steps ahead of him and had to dive for an overthrown ball. Other than that, I didn't see any catches against him.

Yep, that was pretty good coverage by Newman. One of my nephews commented on that particular play. He basically said that Newman got lucky that he didn't get beat. I told him that IF Baskett would've have caught it, then the Eagles would've been the lucky ones. The coverage was pretty good...a completion on that play would've required the perfect pass and a remarkable catch. They got 1 out of 2.

As for Newman's play, he's been pretty much lights out.

Newman was stride-for-stride with Baskett on that one. It would have taken an incredible catch to beat Newman on that play.

Adam, how many straight games has TNew gone without allowing a TD?

Without looking it up, I think it's 23 games.

I agree. From what I saw, Newman had a good game. If you want to nitpick, you could say he should have supported the run on Westbrook's touchdown... but I think that would be going to far. That was just good blocking by brown and a good play call.
