Getting back to the post, I am SO stoked about this season! We finally have it all together. I know the "D" will win the day on most occasions, but it's reasurring to know that the 'Oline is much healthier, and stronger than last year. Our depth should be excellent with Peterman, Columbo, and Gurode coming back stronger, and healthy. Now that his back is 100% or close to it, we will see a totally different Rivera. He & Kosier will allow Johnson to play with more confidence, and the OT positions are solid with Petitti coming back benching over 100 lbs. more than as a rookie, and 16 games under his belt. We all know what Adams can do when healthy. If the line can do their job, no doubt we will have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL with TO, Witten, Glenn, and Julius Jones as potent if not awesome weapons.
Our defense is going to be "scary", as I've read in some mags. I see a solid rotation of a healthy Ferguson, Canty, and Spears starting along the front, with Ratliff, Thomas, Hatcher, and Stanley rotating in and out. Hopefully that rotation will include Ellis. Vontrell Jamison from Clemson could work himself into a job at 6'7", 285. Here's to a 60 sack season.
Now that Carpenter completes the LB corps, the run defense should be in the top 10 in the league. If a solid center fielder at FS can be found, I look for the same with our pass defense.
