Can't let it go?, how about the loss to the Cardinals, or the 49ers. Those are losses too. Why is it the Commanders loss. A loss is a loss. They happen.
Now, our only win in 1989 over the Commanders kept them out of the playoffs. Because it was our only win.
If the only win for the Raiders this year ends up being against the Chiefs, and if they miss the playoffs by one game, then it's that loss.

But you can't say that game is the reason, if it happens this year. Because they won other games too.

True but that was for sure the most winnable loss so far.

The season did take a turn for the Cowboys after losing to Washington. The team was 6-1 riding a 6 game winning streak and was on top of all the power rankings. The Cowboys were arguably the best team in the league heading into the Washington game and haven't been as good a football team since. Since the loss to Washington the Cowboys are 2-3 and just came off their worst performance of the season. They're clearly not the same team now that they were before the loss to Washington.

if we go 10-6 and miss the playoffs i won't be upset. When you look at our roster defensively its amazing we've been this good. We need a drastic overhaul next offseason.

I think that its all about ups and downs in this league and playing your best ball when it matters. I'd rather we slump in November and start hitting our stride on Thursday and win the next 4 going into the playoffs, as hot as possible, get on a run!

Next 2 games are key
If we beat Bears and eagirls in Philly there is no reason we can't beat the other 2 and go 4-0
If we lose one or both then it might be over and we could even go 0-4

Next 2 games are the season

The Cowboys needed to start hitting their stride last Thursday that was a big loss that's going to be difficult to overcome at this stage in the season. With only 4 games left you can't just flip a switch and decide it's time to start playing good. It's not easy to play your way out of a slump during the Dec crunch games. The Cowboys have struggled to win games in Dec during the Romo era they're 10-16. If a hot streak was going to start you would have thought it would start on Thanksgiving after coming off a dramatic win in NY in the final 3 minutes. A win like that in the closing minutes should have inspired the team for the game with Philly but instead they fell flat. As bad as the Cowboys looked in such an important game that's not a good sign especially having to face a Chicago team that's blown them out the past 2 seasons. Thursday nights game will tell us if the Cowboys have any hopes in the final 3 games.

A win on Thursday night could, in effect, "flip the switch" for this team, because they can convince themselves Thanksgiving was a fluke and they can enter the last three games knowing the 8-8 ghosts are gone.

If they beat Chicago, winning 2 of 3 NFL games in 12 days is pretty impressive, regardless of opponents or final scores.

This. I was saying this to my coworker who is also a diehard fan.... Ill take a 2 out of 3 coming out of those 12 days...

In todays NFL thats pretty damn good with of course 1 of those games being a win in your division and another being able to distance yourself from a "in the hunt" bears team

Not sure a win over a mediocre 5 win Bears team is going to flip the switch for the Cowboys. You would think the way they pulled out the win over the Giants in the final 3 minutes would have flipped the switch but no. They better start flipping the switch real quick or they're going to be left out in the dark. Chicago is in a more desperate situation than the Cowboys so they better be better prepared than they were last Dec in Chicago when they got themselves B-slapped. A loss in Chicago and the 2014 season will pretty much be over for the Cowboys and bring in the very troubling possibility of another 8-8 season.

With 9 teams having 5 losses or less this could be one of those rare seasons where 11 wins won't get it done. It's only happened twice in 85 and 08 and it could happen again. The Cowboys may have to win out and I don't see that happening based on how they've performed in their last 5 games. They better not have one eye on Chicago and the other on Philly Thursday night. They have to focus on Chicago and win that game.
