There's no guarantee my agenda, Patrick Peterson makes it to #6 where I think he will. Bottom line, he's good enough to make NFL History. I think he falls because the timing is right.
But it's time to assume he doesn't. I have to keep an open mind. If he doesn't, we won't stay at #9. I think we'll trade down. My guess is with Detroit.
Detroit offers us #13 and #75 for #9, presumably so they can take Prince Amukamra.
#13. Tyron Smith, OT, USC, 6'5", 307. If we get Smith Colombo will be released. Smith will start at RT in 2011. His ceiling is through the roof. He is only going to get better and he's already pretty good. Dallas has scouted this player more than any other this year.
#40. Brandon Harris, CB, Miami, 5'10" 195. It is probable that Terence Newman is a cap casualty. We will need a starter at LCB and this kid has ball skills among the best in this Draft.
#71. Mason Foster, ILB, Washington, 6'1", 245. At Washington he played OLB, but when they needed a spy on elusive Jacquizz Rodgers, they assigned him. That means he is smart, speedy, and makes right reads. The perfect formula for an ILB. He and Sean Lee can be electric with Spencer and Ware for years to come.
#75. Allen Bailey, DE, Miami, 6'3", 285. Need someone to replace the departing Marcus Spears. Here's a guy who could become a starter down the road. In the next 2 to 3 years we probably need 2 starting DEs for our 3-4. Here's a kid with that kind of potential.
#102. Deunta Williams, FS, North Carolina, 6'2", 205. I think is the pick that makes the most sense. He will either learn behind Sensy and Huff or start.
#143. Henry Hynoski, FB, Pittsburgh, 6'2", 255. The player I think could be the biggest difference maker on the Offense if we get him. Such would be the improvement over Gronkowski.
#176. Cecil Shorts, WR, Mount Union, 6'0", 190. I just love the idea of this guy in the slot, on return teams, and the Wildcat.
#220. John Clay, RB, Wisconsin, 6'1", 230. Barber is gone. This is the short yardage bull who can replace him.
#251. Blaine Sumner, NT, Colorado School of Mines, 6'2", 335. A low risk pick on a workout warrior. 52 reps of 225 on the bench and a 33 inch vertical leap. Worth the late round looksee.

I absolutely love that draft. Only player I dont agree with is Allen Bailey, an underachiever (which we dont need on this team, but overachievers). Could be possibly that your first pick at 13th wont happen though. Reports are that the vikings are strongly looking at Tyron Smith at # 12.
