Lets not forget rhe Joey Galloway trade. What he play a game and a half? He got hurt week 2 and was done. That about sums up the Cowboys back than.

He actually got hurt in Week 1 against the Eagles (The Pickle Juice Game), I want to say in the 4th quarter.

My bad. Not sure why I thought Dallas was an underdog.

Correct. It was the perfect icing on a horrific day.

That was quite possibly the worst opening day I can remember, followed closely by the Texans win in their expansion season.

At that stage, I was still an impressionable fan that believed what the team told me and the deal then was, we have Campo, things will be back to the Jimmy Johnson way. That game demonstrated to me that the organization was headed in the wrong direction and that the Switzer decline was not just on him.

That period with Jones trading away premium picks for Galloway and James McKnight and others was completely brutal.

I remember both of those games very well......I was 20 when The Pickle Juice Game happened and 22 when we lost that game to the Texans.

Denver's run and passing game are better than the giants. Their o line isn't very good though. They have a pretty good defense also.

they have a much better offensive coach and play caller. McCoy did a good job against our defense in 2013 when the chargers beat us.

Their offensive line is significantly better than the Giants.

Leary is there, Paradis is a good center and Bolles looks like a ten year starter.

Will the team be extra cautious with Tapper since he carries the sickle cell trait?

If you have to lose a game, Denver is the one to lose. A non-conference opponent that has almost no affect on tiebreaker scenarios for playoffs
Unless, of course, you live in Colorado......this is their Superbowl. Swear.

I think taking Denver for granted in Denver would be a big mistake. Their crowd makes communication during the game extremely difficult for opposing offenses. Sieman is a better than average QB in my estimation and their front seven can make things pretty rough for opposing QBs. I honestly think we'll be tested much more severely than many here might like to believe.

Cowboys win this game if they're as good as I think they are.

Or if Dak brings his brain and set!

Went to the 2009 and 1998 games in Denver. 1998 sucked watching T. Davis run up and down the field, Denver scored TDs on 5 straight possessions.

The one in 2009 still irks me because they tried to go to Hurd 3 times in a row from around the 5 vs Champ Bailey when they had a shot to send it to OT.

Dallas will probably win this year when I cant go (broke my ankle and leg).

I was at the 2009 game,,,, and at least one of those passes to Hurd would have scored if Bailey wasn't allowed to hook and turn receivers!

Looks like Leary suffered a concussion last night. Hope he's ok, but seems unlikely to play.

Siemian was 8-6 as a starter last year, but only 2 wins vs. winning teams - 1 of which was the season finale vs. the Connor Cook lead Raiders.

Will probably be a close, low-scoring game unless one or both teams turn it over a lot for short fields.

In the 3rd quarter with the Broncos up 24-7 over the Chargers, the local sports commentators turned their attention to the upcoming game with the Cowboys. A couple of their more interesting comments: Dak has transitioned from rookie sensation to the point that he can throw for 260 yds, complete 60% of his passes and still be considered as having an "off-game" and, where the heck did Dallas get a defense. Basically, they were showing a lot of respect for the Cowboys. It will be interesting to follow this week's sports in the Denver... too bad I can't make it to the game this weekend.
