I hate to be the harbinger of bad news but presently the Eagles are at #1 in the division with their win yesterday.

Thanks but we're not even a full 1/3 of the season through and haven't played each other.

Absolutely true, I'm only posting because most people are justifying our loss by saying we're still on top of the division which we aren't. I don't believe it stays that way for long.

We're currently tied until the strength of victory tiebreaker. The division record tiebreaker is %, which we are tied with Philly at 100% win. Common games won vs NFCE, lost all to AFCW. Conference, 100% assuming division games are included.

Dallas has beaten an 0-5 team and a 2-3 team.
Philly has beaten an 0-5 team and a 1-3 team.

Dallas is in 1st place because Washington had a bye week and St. Louis won against Jacksonville. If Washington had played and won this week, it would go down to combined points scored/allowed rankings in the NFC. We have that tiebreaker too; Dallas has forced more points and allowed less than Philly.

I know you can never expect easy wins in this division, but my goodness, there is no reason we shouldn't win the vast majority of our divisional games this year.

I don't care. We should win this division.

If we don't win the division then Garrett and company have to go.

I absolutely agree here. This division is terrible and just being mediocre is going to win it.

If we're not even mediocre this year? Goodbye Garrett.

As always - we control our own destiny. If we're good enough, we're good enough.

Frankly, no one in the NFC East is "good enough."

No worries. The Eagles did exactly what I wanted them to do yesterday in eliminating the Giants from a title run (they're done), now its a 3 team race and we get 4 games to beat both the Eagles and Commanders.

We're in pretty good shape. 5 of our remaining 11 games are against the NFC East, which is looking like one of the weakest divisions in the history of the NFL. We also play the entire NFC North (Lions, Vikings, Bears, Packers), the Saints, and our last AFC West opponent, the Raiders.

I could see us going 9-7 (maybe) if we win 4 out of 5 in the NFC East, split the NFC North, and beat the Raiders. That should be enough to get us in.
