We're still feeling pain from that Claiborne pick

Felt it hard today with the way Brockers played. He was in Dak's grill all day creating pressure and deflecting balls. He would have been our 1st rd pick if we didn't trade up for Claiborne.

As for that 2nd rd pick we gave up to move up......consider our incredibly thin linebacker unit. Have you looked at some of the linebackers that were selected in the 2nd round of that '12 draft? Bobby Wagner (supposedly would have been our pick), Mychal Kendricks, Zach Brown, Lavonte David. Sickening how one mistake can still sting so much years later.

Claiborne was a shut down corner last year when he played. People want to discount that. Our secondary played very well last year. I am all for the overhaul, but fans thinking we werent going to get torched this year werent being realistic.

I always find rueimg so silly.....like in your eyes if we had hit on Brockers and Wagner than that means we would have the same team we have now lol......as if the course would've stayed the same.

These guys hit on nearly every pick in the draft last year and you guys are complaining about drafts. Let it go.

They weren't and now it's hitting them harder than a sack of bricks......just goes to show the IQ of some of theee kids around here.

He's playing like the top 5 pick he was supposed to be with the Jets. Go figure.

Generally I agree that pick sucked.

But at this point, 2012 shouldn't be hurting us THAT much anymore.

Those are expired rookie contracts now, and we'd likely have some turnover since.

That trade up and pick has haunted us for years. (our 1st and 2nd for Mo Claiborne)
Strongly hated that move then and have tried to forget it.
And you're right, the pick was probably Michael Brockers in the first and then Bobby Wagner (who we also loved) in the 2nd with those two picks.
Thank about that...just wow.

Keep trying to let it go:banghead:
Can't hit on every pick
Think happy thoughts instead:laugh:

Front Office: " The Rams are shopping the 6th pick. We can get Claiborne."
Jerry: Did we even meet with Claiborne?"
Front Office: " Nope."
Jerry: "Don't the Rams desperately need cornerback help?"
Front Office: "The Rams are dumb. Claiborne is the highest rated defender since Deion."
Hopefully someone with some common sense: "Really, I don't think he's as good as his LSU teammate, Patrick Peterson. Or even the Honey Badger."
Front Office: "Nope, we rated him higher than Peterson. All the Rams want is our 2nd round pick to make the deal."
Jerry: "Get 'er done."
