they had more then their share of luck last year. That usually evens out.
They are a good team that should get better. The problems they have are pretty much all on D. watchout if their D gets really improved.

How much can be attributed to luck before one wants to admit they are a good team? Heck I am bitter too because we let Sean Payton get away, but lets gove credit where credit is due.

Sure, they are a good team, but they have to be able to replicate that effort next season to be a really good team. I think they will not do quite as well myself. The emotion will not be as high next year for them and Payton's coaching style will start to be disected and understood more with all the film on them now. 9-7 or a 10-6 repeat is my guess.

:) Of all the DB's we had last year McKenzie is the only one who will be returning to start. We signed david (who won a ring last year) at the other corner and roman harper will be back from injury and is a stud. Dont know much about the kaesveharn guy thats going to start at the other safety. Apparantly this usama young guy we drafted looks great as well.

We need to upgrade big time at linebacker and defensive tackle, we brought in an improvement at MLB but hes still not great, and shanle is just OK. Fujita is good so thanks :p We are horrendous at DT although we have arguably the best set of DE's in the NFC

Our first round draft pick has been very very disapointing, even before he had knee surgery yesterday. He showed up 20 lbs overweight and couldnt catch the ball, looks like we missed on him although its too early to be sure.

Rumors are that we are going to deal deuce mcallister after the season and I think that could be a huge mistake and could really hurt the offense, I dont see reggie getting the tough yards.

This year I think the saints cowboys and bears are the teams to beat, and the 49ers maybe making a suprising run like the saints did last year.

I give them respect to go from what they did to last year.I mean Brees is the obvious reason for the most part.Yet,I ask myself will this defense regress more, will brees continue this top notch play, have people figured out the weaknesses of the team like the saints did us last year? They have a target on their back now,I also believe that with a new coach we can take them,it was clear that payton knew our Defense too well.He literally made BP look like a donkey.
They were to some degree, but the Saints are still a very good team. They benefitted from the collapse of their own division and had a lot of breaks go their way. In order to get back to the NFC Championship Game, they need to make huge improvements in their defensive front seven. Currently, I rank them fourth in the NFC (I think Dallas, Philly, and Chicago will be better) and first in their division.
